No taxi service for Peren on November 17 Peren, November 15 (MExN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association, (ANTA) Peren Unit in a press release has informed the members to compulsorily attend the Annual Picnic on November 17 at Mongleu River Kejanglwa bridge by 8:30 am. The association has warned that other vehicles plying as taxi on the said day will be penalised. It further requested the general public to bear inconvenience. ANTA Kma Raising Day cum picnic on November 18 Kohima, November 15 (MExN): All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA), Hqs Kohima has informed that the ANTA Raising Day cum Annual picnic will be held on November 18 at Tsiesema Basa Ground, Tsiesema. All drivers and owners under ANTA Hqs. Kohima have been notified to attend the program positively, informed Vibasetuo Solo, President in a press release. The release also mentioned that any taxis plying on that particular day will be treated as defaulters and will be penalised. The public has, therefore, been requested to bear with the inconveniences. DBS Kma to organize national seminar Kohima, November 15 (MExN): The Department of History, Don Bosco College (DBS) Kohima will be organizing a 2-day national seminar on “Historical Development in North-East India-Trends and Perspectives” on November 16 and 17 at the college conference hall. The central aim of the seminar will be to discuss historical developments which have been fundamental in the progress of North-East India. The national seminar is sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. ENDBU condemns act Tuensang, November 15 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Dobashis Union (ENDBU) has condemned the atrocious act perpetrated by unknown miscreant on November 7 at the residence of K Aliba Sangtam, former vice chairman, Tuensang Town Council near NST station Tuensang. A press release from the President ENDBU, R Muthsodang Sangtam and General Secretary H Longhen stated that such kind of brutal act was not only an attempt of murder on the victim’s family but was also against the interest of the public of Tuensang town that created fear psychosis among the innocent people. The Union further warned that such kind of inhuman act was inexcusable in the eyes of law. Kuda B Khel declared ‘plastic free zone’ Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Thenupfukokkrotho Kuda B Khel (women organisation) has declared Kuda B Khel as “plastic free zone” on October 27. The organisation in a press release from the President and Secretary has urged all business establishments in its jurisdiction and all consumers/customers to abide by the resolution in support to the Nagaland Chief Minister’s declaration “Nagaland plastic free zone” on the first week of November. The organization further requested every citizen within its jurisdiction to avoid usage of plastic bags and opt for re-usable bags, jute bags and cloth bags for cleaner, safer and eco friendly environment. Meeting on Ngada Mini Hornbill at Tseminyu held Tseminyu, November 15 (MExN): ADC Tseminyu, Nokchasashi Ao held a meeting with the Village Chairmen and VDB Secretaries of Tseminyu Sub-Division at its conference hall on November 15. ADC, the Convenor for the celebration of Ngada Mini Hornbill Festival, chaired the meeting.
