Ao Senden new office bearers
Mokokchung, November 21 (MExN): The Ao Senden has installed its new President Chubawati Longchar (Nokpu) and Vice President I Imkong Jamir (Chungtia) along with five other members on November 21 for the tenure 2018-2020, due to some changes in the office bearers set up. The new office bearers were installed by Reverend I Lima Jamir, Pastor Kumlong Baptist Church Mokokchung who exhorted and blessed the officials with prayer, a press release form Ao Senden informed.
AH&VS plea on livestock census
Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) has urged all village councils and public in Dimapur district to cooperate with its staff during the livestock census to be carried out shortly, according to a release issued by chief veterinary officer Dimapur Dr Atem Longchar on Wednesday.
YUD flays random firing
Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Union Dimapur (YUD) has condemned the act of unidentified miscreants who open fired at a bike showroom Riven Honda at River Belt Colony Dimapur on November 20. A press release issued by president YUD, Albinus Atsumong stated that ‘firing at house is the same to life attempt.’ The release said that such kind of ‘ghastly act’ was not a good sign toward the process of peace and reconciliation amongst the society. This kind of activities further create fear psychosis in the minds of the general public during the season of Christ’s birth. The Union further appealed to shun violence, killings, threat, intimidation and other unwanted activities in order to create a congenial peaceful atmosphere in the larger interest of the people and society.
LEED condemns random firing
Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): Lotha Eloe Ekhung Dimapur (LEED) has condemned the indiscriminate firing at a showroom Riven Honda located at Riverbelt Colony Dimapur by unidentified miscreants on November 20. The Ekhung in a press release stated that “escalating violence against women in recent days is creating fear psychosis and mistrust among us, which is demoralizing the few Naga upcoming women entrepreneurs." LEED further requested the authorities concerned to nab the culprits at the earliest and be rewarded befitting punishment.
NPF Youth Ambassador tender resignation
Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): Naga People’s Front (NPF) Youth Ambassador and CEC member Imlibenla Wati has tendered a resignation letter to the President NPF. The letter stated “due to my personal works and responsibilities I am not able to give much of my time towards the assigned responsibilities that I have been entrusted by the party.” Imlibenla further requested the Party to accept her resignation letter in good faith.
