PAC NCD appeal NPGs to discipline cadres
Dimapur, November 24 (MExN): The PAC NCD has appealed to the concerned NPG leaders to immediately take steps to discipline their cadres, who are on rampage. In a press release, the PAC NCD has expressed shock on the illegal collections and repeated demands on the Aoyim Baptist Church new building construction by the NPGs. It has ‘gone beyond imagination, where every Naga should seriously think and rise up before it is too late,’ stated the release. While appreciating the efforts of the security forces in containing criminal activities, it has appealed to the general public to extend all possible support and cooperation to the security forces to check criminals.
Chairman NPC mourn demise of late Y Odyuo
Kohima, November 24 (MExN): Chairman Nagaland Peace Centre (NPC) Kohima, N Theyo has mourned the demise of late Y. Odyuo. In a condolence message, Theyo stated that he worked very hard for unity and peace for the Nagas. He was a sincere and true member of the governing body of the Nagaland Peace Centre, stated the message. He was a peace maker and a true friend. He faced health problems courageously because he knew God was with him, Theyo added. He prayed that God grant ‘peace and comfort as we face life without him,’ and conveyed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for his soul to rest in peace with the Lord.
SWUPT 25th Anniversary on Dec 8
Phek, November 24 (MExN): The Secheku Welfare Union Pfutsero Town (SWUPT) will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of its foundation on December 8 at Pfutsero Sports Complex, Pfutsero town. A press release from SWUPT stated that Kekhwengulo Lea President, Chakhesang Public Organisation will be the Guest Speaker. Highlights include Jubilee Feast, Tug of War, Indigenous Song Competition and interactions.
