NSCN (R) cautions imposters
Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): It has come to the knowledge of the NSCN (R) that owing to the approaching Christmas season, many unwanted elements are taking undue advantages and collecting Christmas donations in the name of the NSCN (R) in and around UT1 areas. The Supervisor, UT1 Khekato Kinny (Kilonser) through MIP has issued general information that no such directives (for donations) has been or will be issued. The UT1 has cautioned those people involved to immediately stop such activities and also requested all business personalities to kindly co-operate and report if any such situation(s) were faced. The NSCN (R) also warned that if any imposter(s) are caught masquerading as NSCN(R) and bringing disrepute to the NSCN, will be strictly dealt with. “If at all, even after the issuance of this information, any Business Personalities/Groups/Party(s) entertaining such activities will be doing so at their own risk and do not reflect the image of the NSCN (R) whatsoever,” the release added.
DWO Mokokchung informs pensioners/beneficiaries
Mokokchung, November 29 (MExN): District Welfare Officer Mokokchung, Nagaland Bendangkokba has informed those Pensioners/Beneficiaries who have not drawn their pension benefit under Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Disability Pension under National Scheme (NSAP) and Disability and Blind Pension under State Scheme, that a grace period will be given till December 7 from the date of this notification, at District Welfare Office, Mokokchung during office working hours. No further payment will be made after the expiry of the grace period. Beneficiaries who are unable to come personally are requested to produce life certificate obtained from the respective VCC/Pastor through the authorized person. It is also notified to those beneficiaries who have not submitted Aadhaar and Bank Account earlier to submit the same during the payment.
LDGBA urges GoI to initiate talks with all stakeholders
Longleng, November 29 (MExN): The Longleng District GB Association (LDGBA) urged the Government of India (GoI) to “initiate talks including all stakeholders and Naga Political Group for an early solution that is acceptable and honourable to all.” A press statement from LDGBA President T Yungie Phom and General Secretary Chingpü welcomed the initiative taken by the Khango Konyak lead NSCN (K) to hold talk with GoI and step towards understanding and respecting the sentiments of the Nagas to achieve common dream.
