Dept of Power informs on power shut down
Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The Executive Engineer, Electrical Division, Dimapur has informed that the power supply will be affected on December 8 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm in various areas as a result of the maintenance and filtration works on 10 MVA. The areas are: Duncan Basti, Industrial Village, Kashiram Village, Senjum Village, Aoyimkum Village, Kacharigoan Village, Taxes Colony, Lingrijan Area, Indisen Village and Dillai Gate Area. The consumers in these areas have been requested to bear with the inconvenience.
F&CS informs on PHH & AAY release
Kohima, December 7 (MExN): The assistant Director of Food & Civil Supplies Ipetdaung Lungalang has informed that PHH and AAY food-grains will be released from December 11 onwards between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. The FPS/village councils have been directed to collect their respective quota within the stipulated period. Specific dates have been allotted to each circle. Kezocha Circle Villages and Merema, Tsiese Basa & Bawe, Thizama & Rusoma on December 11, Jakha Circle Villages on December 12, Kohima Sadar and Secu circle Villages on December 13, and Kohima Town FPS on December 14 and 17.
NSCN (IM) condoles
Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of (L) Mhasekho (Akho) Chuzho, Kilonser from Chakhesang Region on December 7 in Dimapur after a brief illness. The NSCN (IM) also mourned the demise of L) Captain AS Vareishang from Ramva village (WTR) on December 6. Vareishang was a part of the Operation Blue Sky, Naga Army and met martyrdom in action against the Indian Army personnel from the 6th Punjab Regiment in between Longkai and Moktua villages in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh. In recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga Nation and as a mark of tribute to the departed comrade in arms who laid down his precious life while in the line of duty, he has been posthumously bestowed the rank of Major. In a condolence message, the NSCN (IM) remembered their service and conveys condolences to the bereaved families.
Inaugural function of NTTC
Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The inaugural function of the upgradation of Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC) will be held on December 8, 2:30 pm at NTTC, Dimapur. The inaugural speech will be given by Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland. The Aditional Development Commissioner, Piyush Srivastava and Secretary Dr Arun Kumar of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will also address the gathering. Petehetu Miasalhou, Principal, NTTC will give a background note on NTTC. The program will be chaired by Linthrongla G Chishi, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary of Nagaland, Industries, Commerce and Chairperson, NTTC Governing Council will chair the program. The program will begin with invocation by Fr Philip Magh, Principal, holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
