Chümoukedima Unit urges agencies ‘not to overlook safety measures’

Chümoukedima, July 31 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Unit under CPO while welcoming the development project of expanding the road “which is very much the need of the hour,” has reminded the concerned department and its agencies “not to overlook the safety measures that are prerequisite for the commuters as well as people living besides the present highway.” The unit in a press release “while taking serious note over shifting the blame from one to another after the incident,” cautioned that “such practices can never be accepted nor compromised at any cost which endanger humanity.” Further, it appealed all collaborating department and its agencies to have proper coordination while executing works that may take place at any public vicinity. Meanwhile it conveyed deepest condolence to the unfortunate victims of July 26 at 7th mile Dimapur, which took two precious lives away. The unit appealed the concerned department and its agencies to compensate the victims as per the law of land, and further prayed that Almighty God will comfort the bereaved families.

 

PSU emergency union assembly

Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) has convened an emergency Union Assembly on August 3 at the building of Pochury Women Organisation Kohima, Kenuozuo at 10:00 am. The Union in a press release has requested all the respective units and subordinating bodies of the PSU to attend the meet positively.

 

All Nagaland 2007 (Batch) Contingency appointment meet

Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The proposed meeting of All Nagaland 2007 (Batch) Contingency appointment under the Department of School Education will be held on August 8, 11:00 am at Naga Club building, NSF office conference Hall Kohima. The 2007 batch in a press release has requested all concerned members to attend the meeting positively. Peren DPDB monthly meeting held

Peren, July 31 (MExN): The monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on July 26 at DC’s Conference Hall, District Headquarter Peren. The meeting was chaired by DC & Vice-Chairman, DPDB Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.  The meeting was attended by DC Peren, APO Peren, district HoDs and DPDB members. The meeting deliberated on the various agendas such as Independence Day celebration on August 15; Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan Schemes; Local Area Developmental Programmes (LADP); Peren District Sports Council, constituted and Plastic Management Government notifications. Further, DC informed the house that a mass social work will be conducted on August 9 with EE PWD Peren as overall in-charge.
