Governor extend Tsüngremong greetings

Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi extended greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Tsüngremong festival. RN Ravi , in a message, wished the community prosperity in all spheres of life and prayed to almighty to bring about success to the people of Nagaland in general. He underscored the rich culture and tradition of the Naga tribes and called for their preservation and promotion.  He hoped that the Tsüngremong festival will provide opportunities for the younger generations to emotionally connect with their culture and tradition while displaying their skills and knowledge of their ancestral history.

 

ANCSU foundation day today

Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) will be observing its “40th Foundation Day cum degree toppers felicitation” on August 2 at AMK Conference Hall, Kohima at 11:00 am. Nagaland University (NU) registrar Dr Abemo Odyuo will be the guest speaker; Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) President, Ninoto Awomi and ANCSU Tribunal General, Kuzoto Lohe will also exhort the gathering and ANCSU President Katho P Awomi will deliver presidential address.

 

CHCM to hold Vesper prayer Virgil from Aug 1-13

Hebron, August 1 (MExN): The Council Headquarters Church Members (CHCM) Hebron are having Vesper prayer for the Naga Nation at 05:00 pm from August 1 to 13, informed a press release issued by the General Secretary, CNC. It has further requested all the NSCN (IM) members living nearby to join this Vesper prayer Virgil. It also requested all those living in far off places to do the same, at the same time in their own respective places.

 

Mon police recovers heroin, arrests one

Mon, August 1 (MExN): During the routine checking of vehicles  at the Tizit Inter-state check gate, the Mon Police personnel recovered 84 grams (approx) of suspected heroin from the possession of Eshak Konyak, a resident of Chahjon ward Mon on August 1, while he was traveling from Dimapur to Mon, informed a press release issued by the PRO Mon Police. “The suspected contraband items were wrapped in polythene and concealed in plastic cases, while some were in small plastic container,” it added.The release further stated that in this connection, Eshak Konyak has been arrested and a regular case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him.

 

NGTC convenes general public meet on Aug 3

Samaguri, August 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Garo Tribal council (NGTC) has convened a general public meeting on August 3 at 09:00 am, at Samaguri village playground. This was informed in a press release issued by the General Secretary of NGTC.It further requested all the Garo head GBs, GBs, officials from Nagaland Garo Mother’ Association(NGMA), All Nagaland Garo National Association(ANGNA), Garo Student’s Union Nagaland Zone(GSUNZ) and all the Garo Public to attend the meeting compulsorily without fail.

 

DDGBA meet on August 3 

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) will hold its meeting at DDGBA's Office, on August 3 at 11:00 Am (Sharp).This was informed in a press release issued by its President and its Secretary for Publicity & information. It further asked all the Office Bearers and Executives concerned to attend the meet without fail.

 

PDA Legislature Party Members meet on Aug 5
    
Kohima, August 1 (MExN):
A meeting of the Members of the Legislature Party of People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) will be held in the Residential Office of the Chief Minister on August 5, at 11:00 am, “to discuss the agenda before the Legislative Assembly Session and other related matters,” informed a DIPR report. It further requested all the members of the Legislature Party of PDA to attend the meeting.

 

Dimapur DPDP meet postponed

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): DC & Vice Chairman DPDB, Dimapur,  Kevekha Kevin Zehol has notified all concerned that the monthly District Planning & Development Board  meeting of Dimapur District for the month of August, scheduled to be held on August 5 has been postponed and shall be held after the Assembly session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, informed a DIPR report.
