DWO Peren informs NSAP beneficiaries
Peren, August 4 (MExN): DWO Peren, in a circular, has informed to all the pensioners under Peren District that the “payment for old age, widow, disabled and blind under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and Department of Social Welfar,” will be made on the following dates mentioned below: August 7 and 8- Peren; August 9 – Athibung; August 22 and 23-Tening and Nsong and August 27 and 28 -Jalukie. The DWO further informed all the beneficiaries to bring Photo Copy of Aadhaar and Bank Pass Book for payment from 9 am onwards.
HYS elects new executive team
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): Hindu Yuva Sanga (HYS) conducted its annual general election on August 4 at its office at Millenium Market, Old Daily Market. The new executive team will be led by Sourab Paul as President, Rajesh Singha as General Secretary, Moumita Kar as Women Co-Ordinator, Deepraj Das as Press & Media Secretary, Amit Roy & Saptarshee Paul as Office Incharge and ten other members.
PMA inspects Schools within Meluri
Phek, August 4 (MExN): A team of Pochury Mothers' Association(PMA) Office Bearers and Executives, inspected 9 Schools both private and Government Schools within Meluri on July 23 and July 25. A press release issued by the General Secretary of PMA stated that the inspection was carried out to collect first hand information of the condition and environment in the Schools. “There was an exchange of views and ideas with the school authorities,” it added. The release stated that during the inspection, the Union warned the students that “stringent action” will be taken, if found involved in anti-social activities. It also urged the School authorities and teachers not to engage themselves in immoral activities or use intoxicating items inside the classroom or within the school campus, the release added.
KCSU union assembly
Kohima, August 4 MExN): The first union assembly of the Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) will take place on August 10 at 11:00 AM at Capital College of Higher Education, Kohima. All the affiliated units and representatives of the colleges have been requested to attend the said assembly with two representatives from each units/colleges. Pughoboto SDPDB meet
Pughoboto, August 4 (MExN): ADC & Vice-Chairman SDPDB Pughoboto, Phuleshe K Yepthomi has informed that the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board meeting will be held on August 13, at 11:00 am in the Office of the ADC Pughoboto. MLA & Chairman SDPDB will be present in the meeting. All the concerned members are requested to be present in the meeting.
MMU organizes monsoon vaccination camp
Peren, August 4 (MExN): MMU (Medical Mobile Unit) organized a monsoon vaccination camp in Vongkithem village where 69 patients were treated by Dr Vezo Kholu and her staff from PHC, Ahthibung. ARC in a press release stated while the teams were unable to cross the river due to heavy flow, the river which falls before the village, the Assam Rifles came to their rescue, who happened to be passing the area. The villagers expressed gratitude for the drive and for the dedication of PHC and ARC Ahthibung.
