Awareness prog by Sainik School Punglwa

Kohima, August 7 (MExN): District Education Officer, Kohima, Y Mary Zhimomi  has informed all concerned that an awareness and sensitization programme by Sainik School Punglwa officials for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) for the upcoming session 2020-21, will be conducted on August 24, 10:00 am at Rilzhilkhrie Government Higher Secondary School Kohima. In this regard, all the intending candidates and parents are requested to attend.

 

KMC re-notifies public on waste

Kohima, August 7 (MExN): This is to re-notify the general public that Kohima Municipal Council has banned/prohibited throwing any kind of waste/garbage, flushing out of septic tanks into the drainages/nullahs with immediate effect. Kovi Meyase, Administrator, KMC stated that any individual/party found throwing/flushing the above in the drainages/nullahs will be penalized as per existing rules.

 

Schools in Dimapur informed to spread awareness on under-age driving

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): In pursuance of the directive from the office of the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman District Road Safety Committee, Dimapur on Road Safety Observation on road safety activities, District Education Officer Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir has informed all the Head of the Institutions, both private and government schools under Dimapur district to spread awareness about the risk and consequences of under-age driving in their respective schools regularly during morning assembly session. Action taken report on quarterly basis should be submitted to the undersigned office for onward submission, the release added.
 

AR apprehends one GPRN/NSCN cadre

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The Assam Rifles troops launched an operation along with police representatives in general area Super market, Dimapur based on inputs about presence of an armed cadre on August 4, and apprehended one GPRN/NSCN cadres Lt Kennedy, age 34 years, resident of Ura Villa Dimapur. The apprehended was caught along with one 9 mm Pistol with magazine and three live rounds, this was informed in a press release issued by Col C Konwer, PRO (DEF). “The apprehended along with recoveries was handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation,” the release added.

 

Collection center at Pangsha inaugurated 

Noklak, August 7 (MExN): Collection center building was inaugurated at Pangsha Old village under Noklak by C. Phuniang, SDO Civil Noklak on August 6. The center was constructed under NERLP for collection of Horti and agri products of the area with the objective to provide profitable market to the farmers. Speaking at the programme, SDO civil encouraged the gathering to make the fullest use of the center for the right purpose and take the best care of the building. He said that qualification is not required to be an entrepreneur, hence it is not like other job but open for all. He further thanked the NERLP for bringing such noble initiative in the area. Assam Rifles, village leaders, Church leaders and SHGs attended the programme.

 

DC convenes meeting for I-Day at Dimapur

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol convened a meeting with Heads of offices and Administrative Officers under Dimapur District at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall on August 6 to discuss matters regarding the preparation for the 73rd Independence Day Celebration at DDSC stadium, Dimapur. In the meeting, work distribution for the celebrations were discussed and the departments were assigned with respective works. DC called upon all the departments to coordinate with the ADC in matters regarding preparation for the Independence Day celebrations and also informed that all the Independence Day parade contingent rehearsal would start from August 8.

 

DEO Peren informs on Teachers’ Day tokens

Peren, August 7 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO) Peren, Ramdi Thou has informed all the Higher Secondary schools and High Schools (both Government and Private) under Peren district that the Teachers’ day tokens are ready for distribution. It further requested all the Schools to come and collect the tokens as per their requirements from the office of the DEO, Peren from August 19 to 26.

 

Departments asked to submit list of SHGs

Kohima, August 7 (MExN): The State Government will be opening an inventory of Self Help Groups under the different Departments. This is as per the discussion held with the Chief Secretary, Nagaland on July 29 on implementation of Van Dhan Entrepreneurship Development Programme for tribal in the state. In this regard, all concerned have been requested to compile the list of all SHGs operating under their Department and forward it to the Department of Industries & Commerce at the earliest to be included in the Inventory of SHGs, on or before August 30.

 

Free coaching for class 10 repeaters

Wokha, August 7 (MExN): The District Administration Wokha in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) will be imparting free coaching for Class-X repeaters on the theme ‘Learn and Shine’ under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Classes will start from first week of September 2019, therefore, any interested students both male and female are requested to get registered before August 31. NERLP meeting held in Peren

Peren, August 7 (MExN): District Project Management Unit, Peren held a meeting on August 6 under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier at DC’s Conference Hall, New DC Complex Peren. The DC reviewed the last DPAC meeting minutes. While presenting the 1st Quarter progress implemented in the District, Ruuvilie Kotsu highlighted all the activities in detail.  Vote of thanks was delivered by Masanwang (Co. SG&CM).
