Rio to inaugurate new IGP (INT) office building
Kohima, August 11 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be inaugurating the new office building of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) (Intelligence) at PHQ Complex, Kohima on August 15 at 2:30 pm. The welcome address will be delivered by K Martin Pienyu, IGP (INT). Technical report will be given by Er H Kahuto Sumi, Chief Engineer, Police Engineering Project. T John Longkumer, DGP Nagaland will pronounce the concluding remarks.
YTC condoles demise of Y Thsankiu
Tuensang, August 11 (MExN): The Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) has condoled the untimely demise of Late Y Thsankiu Yimchungrü, former YTC President who passed away on August 9 in Shamator, after a prolonged illness. The YTC in a condolence message issued by its Vice President and Secretary stated that Late Thsankiu was a tall leader of the Yimchungrü community who rendered in various capacities for the welfare of the people. “He was a prominent and a pioneer leader in many aspects of community life, his untimely demise had created a huge vacuum and hollowness which is difficult to fill,” it added. The YTC further expressed its grief and extended its condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
