Civic reception for new Governor on August 16
Kohima, August 14 (MExN): A civic reception for the new Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi will be held at NBCC Convention Centre on August 16 at 11:00 am. Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi and Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio will address the function. The event will witness presentations and shows from Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club (NAGC), Surumi Cultural Society, Baptist Revival Church, Kohima and Purple fusion. President, Tenyimia Public Organisation (TPO) will address the welcome note while President Eastern Nagaland Public Organisation (ENPO) and Central Nagaland Tribal Council (CNTC) will speak on behalf of their organisations.
LOU NH-29 extends signing of Vakalatnama form
Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): All the registered landowners NH-29 (Purana Bazaar to Chümoukedima) have been informed that the date to append their respective signature in the ‘Vakalatnama Form’ has been extended further from August 17 to 20. The forms will be available at the Landowners Union (LOU) NH-29 Office, at 5th Mile Dimapur in between 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, informed a press release from the Union. It further informed that the Union shall not be held responsible for any consequences arising out of the failure of the registered landowners to append their signature in the form. It also requested all the area incharge/executive members to handover the registration coupon to the Treasurer on August 20 positively.
Workshop on filing annual returns & reconciliation statement in Dimapur
Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): The office of the Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Dimapur Nagaland under the Government of India will be organizing a workshop on filing of Annual Returns and Reconciliation Statement (Form GST-9) on August 19, 23 and 27 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the office of the Commissioner, Goods and Service Tax, 6th Floor, Agarwal Tower, Circular road, Dimapur. GC Paul, Assistant Commissioner (Tech) in a press release informed that arrangements have been made at the Seva Kendra Cell to facilitate the taxpayers in filling the returns in all office working days.
DWO Tuensang informs on pension & scholarship payments
Tuensang, August 14 (MExN): The District Welfare Officer (DWO) Tuensang, L Tinu Sangtam has informed all beneficiaries under NSAP viz: IGNOAP (old age); IGNWPS (Widow); IGNDP (Disability) pension schemes, and scholarship to disabled students under the department of Social Welfare that the payment will be made in the office of the DWO, Tuensang block-wise on the following scheduled dates: Sangsangnyu block from August 19 to 21; Chessore block from August 22 to 23; Noksen block from August 26 to 28; Shamator block from August 29 to 31; Longkhim block from September 2 to 4; Noklak block from September 5 to 7; Chare block from September 9 to 11 and Thonoknyu block from September 12 to 13. It further informed that payments will be released only on production of “Payment-cum-identity booklets” of the beneficiaries. The DWO also directed the beneficiaries under the different schemes to receive payments in person or through proper authorized persons. The payments will commence by 9:30 am and will be made only in block/project-wise for the convenience of the beneficiaries, the release added.
