CPO appeals to observe CoNR
Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) appealed all the churches irrespective of denomination and church affiliations to observe Covenant on National Repentance (CoNR) on September 30 with fasting, repentance, prayers and offering of thanks giving in all the Chakhesang inhabited areas. Stating this in a release, CPO publicity and information secretary Vipanyi Krome expressed appreciation to CBCC for directing all its affiliated church to observe the model of the programme.
NCPCR received 251 complaints in Kiphire
Kiphire, September 27 (MExN): Chairperson of NCPCR, Priyank Kanoogo addressed a press conference at Deputy Commissioner Officer Kiphire on September 26. Priyank Kanoogo said that the National Commission for Protection of Child Right is setting a benchmark in 115 aspirational districts all over the country to address complaints and several issues. He said that 251 complaints were received with issues ranging from lacking of infrastructure and non availability of entitlement by the child which is directly affecting the parameter of being declared as aspirational district. She said that the problems and complaints etc will be addressed to with the help of participating departments. She further stated that they will issue a notice to the Director of Education and ICDS for speedy redressal of the issues in the district for the welfare and benefit for the children.
NPCC appoints spokespersons
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has appointed Takamasa Ao, Sr Advocate and Vaprumo Demo, Former General Secretary, NPCC as their spokespersons with immediate effect. The NPCC General Secretary Admin, N Yona Konyak in a press release stated that they have been appointed “in reference to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) decision on September 3.”
X Chophika Sumi appointed as NSUI president
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The President, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee Congress (NPCC) has appointed X Chophika Sumi as the President of National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) Nagaland Congress Unit. NPCC General Secretary, Admin, N Yona Konyak in a press release stated that the NPCC President has appointed X Chophika Sumi as the President of NSUI in place of Nilohoto Sheqi who has resigned. “The appointment has the approval of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, dated September 13 for all NE states,” it added.
NSCN (IM) condoles demise of member
Hebron, September 27 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed grief over the demise of Late Naqheshe Achumi, a.k.a N Sema, Deputy Kilonser, GPRN. He passed away from Hoito village under Union Territory (UT) on September 25 after a prolonged illness. The NSCN (IM) in a condolence message issued by its MIP stated that Late Achumi served the Naga nation “with unwavering national spirit until his demise.” “The void created by his demise would be difficult to fill in. For his selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of Naga history and his sacrifices ever be cherished by all, it said. The NSCN (IM) also conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to God to grant the departed soul an eternal peace and rest.
DDGIF general meet
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF) has convened a general meeting at 2:00 pm, Duncan Basti Panchayat Hall, Dimapur on September 29. The meeting has been convened “to discuss the matter related to RIIN and ILP and also to deliberate suggestions put forward by the Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) to the Government,” informed a press release issued by DDGIF Co-convener, Dipak Lama. It also informed all the Gorkha NGO’s, Gorkha GB’s including Gorkha Student’s Union Dimapur (GSUD) and general public to attend the meeting without fail.
Chief Secretary convenes meeting
Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy has convened a meeting at 12:00 pm at the Secretariat Conference Hall on September 30 “to discuss issues relating to Swachhata Hi Seva- Cleanliness is Service.”All the Administrative Heads of Department (AHoDs) and Heads of Department (HoD) have been requested to attend the meeting.
NFHRCC review meeting
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has convened its review meet at 2:00 pm at its based Office, Kher Mahal, Dimapur on September 30.The NFHRCC convener Supu Jamir and assistant general secretary, Chenithung Humtsoe in a press release has requested all esteemed members to attend the meet without fail.
Kohima District HoDs meet
Kohima, September 27 (MExN): A meeting of all the District Head of Departments (HODs) under Kohima district will be held at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima at 10:00 am on September 30. The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has informed that the meeting has been convened in regard to mass social work to be conducted on October 2 under the "Swachate Hi Seva (SHS)-Cleanliness is Service" with the theme 'Plastic Waste Shramdam' campaign from September 11 to October 27. In this connection, the DC has informed all the District HoDs under the district to attend the meeting without fail.
DC Dimapur informs
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol has informed all concerned that the formal launching programme of “Swacg Hi Seva” will be held at City Tower, Dimapur on October 2 at 6:00 am along with the nationwide mass movement of collection and segregation of plastic waste. All officers and staff of various departments under Dimapur district, military/paramilitary, shopkeepers and all citizens of Dimapur have been requested to participate.
