CCLB cum CRPO meet on February 20
Kohima, February 14 (MExN): The 6th General Session of the Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) cum Chokrimi Range/Area Public Organizations (CRPO) Meet is all set to be held on February 20 at Phusachodu Village, 10:00 am onwards. According to a press statement issued by CCLB Joint Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, the main speaker of the session will be Zhovehü Lohe, Convenor, Advisory Board, CCLB. Installation of new CCLB office bearers for the tenure 2019-2022, formation of Chokrimi Public Organization, presentation of Folk songs, presentation of General Secretary (Admn) and Treasurer reports etc will be the highlights of the daylong session. The session will be hosted by Phusachodu Village Council. The CCLB has requested all members of the CCLB Executive Body and Committees, Range/Area Presidents with not less than two delegates, Village Council Chairman of all Chokri Villages, Pastors, and Chokrimi Elders to positively attend the session. It further appealed all its citizens to uphold the programme in prayer.
District Taskforce meeting held
Peren, February 14 (MExN): A District Taskforce Meeting for the upcoming National Immunization Day 2019 was held on February 12 under the chairmanship of DC & Chairman, Peren District Task Force, S Tainiu at DC’s Conference Hall, New Complex Peren. DPO (RCH&UIP) Peren, Dr Nukshisangla Jamir gave power point presentation on the following: Global and National Polio update, Wild polio virus Eradication and Endgame strategies, Polio Endemic countries, Wild polio virus containment and certification. She also highlighted key action plans for Wild polio virus Eradication in India by following the under mentioned points: Mass polio vaccination, Participation of high political involvement, Focus on high risk areas, Invocation and equity issues, Intensive IEC activities, Strong feedback mechanism etc. Follow up of action plan laid down for the welfare of the people will ensure free polio areas or free poliovirus, she added.
NSCN (IM) condoles demise of member
Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has expressed pain at the untimely demise of Nchumbemo Tsanglao Lotha who was a Tatar from Lotha Region. NSCN (IM) in a condolence message issued by MIP stated that he joined the national service on April 16, 1993 and was nominated as Tatar in the year 2018. “He served the nation with the spirit of humbleness, sincerity and loyalty,” the message read, adding that his name will be recorded in the pages of Naga history as one who has given his best for the nation. In this hour of sorrow, the Tatar Hoho in particular and NSCN (IM) in general extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family. It further prayed that the departed soul finds solace in the arms of Heavenly Father.
Mokokchung DPDB meeting held
Mokokchung, February 14 (MExN): The monthly Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on February 12 at ADC’s Planning Hall, Mokokchung. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Deputy Chairman DPDB, Rajesh Soundarajan, IAS. With the general election nearing, the chairman requested all members to be prepared to take part and perform election duties and that there will be no exemption on poll duty once enlisted in the poll duty chart. Renovation of indoor Sports building at Imkongmeren Sports Complex was also discussed, stated a DIPR report stated. The house also agreed to approach the Department concerned to solve town traffic problem.
Peren DPDB meet held
Peren, February 14 (MExN): Second Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on February 12 at DC's Conference Hall, New DC Complex under the chairmanship of DC S Tainiu and Vice Chairman DPDB. Tening Block identified by RD Department for special attention for development was recommended by the DPDB for onward action plan from the state government. Cooperation Department presented slideshow with further explanation of District office and its function till date. Assistant Election Officer, Peren explained about VVPAT and EVM machines and its uses to the members with hands-on trial for more clarity about the operation system. DC also informed all HoOs to take note of clearing office premises to avoid the danger of fire break outs.
