Free Medical Eye Camp in Mon 

Mon, October 31 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has informed that the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm in collaboration with Mercy Eye Center, Dimapur; Medical Ministry International; Nagaland Blindness Prevention Control Society, Government of Nagaland; District Administration, Mon; Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mon and Office of the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Mon will be organizing free Medical Eye Camp from November 2 – 15 at District Hospital, Mon. In this regard, the general public is encouraged to avail the services that will be provided during the Medical Camp.

 

KMC notifies on rate of pork

Kohima, October 31 (MExN): In partial modification to the office order, dated April 4, 2017 and as resolved in the meeting held on September 26, 2018, Kohima Municipal Council, Administrator Kovi Meyase has notified that the rate of pork has been enhanced to Rs 220 per kg within Kohima Municipal Council Jurisdiction with effect from October 4, 2018. Subject to fulfillment of the terms and conditions as agreed on Oct 3, 2018.  Henceforth, it notified that there shall be “no separate rates for any so-called local pork or any other categories.” Defaulters shall be penalized as per relevant provisions of the law. Public are further advised to report any contraventions to the undersigned for immediate remedial measures. This order shall remain till further notice, it added.

 

PDCSU to observe cooperative movement week

Kohima, October 31 (MExN): The Phek District Cooperative Societies Union (PDCSU) is all set to observe Cooperative Movement Week from November 14 to 19 on area/range wise manner within Phek District. As per a press statement issued by PDCSU President, Kekhwengulo Lea, the observation week is aimed at providing basic education and training for the development of the societies and also to sensitize the programmes and plans of the Cooperative Societies under large scale. The schedule of the observation program will as under: November 14 - Meluri Area, November 15 - Phek /Tizu Area, Nov 16 - Chozuba Area, Nov 19 - Pfutsero/Chokri/Chizami/Razeba/Centre Chakhesang Area. The release informed that that all registered Cooperative societies PDCSU are mandatory to attend the training observation programme in their respective areas as per the schedule.

 

RNYO extends support to NSCN (IM) 

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO) has extended support and cooperation to the NSCN (IM) for standing firm to restore sovereignty for the Naga people and its Nation. A press statement issued by RNYO, claiming itself as the apex body of all Rongmei youths expressed gratitude to the Naga national workers who stood firm for the common interest of the Naga people “amid the hardship, disappointment and irresponsible actions displayed by the fellow Naga brethren.” It meanwhile expressed surprise and has condemned those Naga leaders who are ready to sell out Nagas' land and its people for their cheap economical benefits without sovereignty. It maintained that Nagas have resisted foreign intrusion to live as free people since time immemorial and has never surrendered till today, while adding that the Nagas' stand for common Nagas sovereign Nation remains the same. 

 

Submission of digital certificates for availing pension

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Government of India has started the registration of Digital Life Certificates for all pensioners. In this connection, P Hangsing, Regional PF Commissioner-I, EPFO, Regional Office, Guwahati has informed that the office will be constrained to stop pensioners’ monthly pension until the submission of Digital Life Certificate within due date: upto December 31. Pensioners under EPFO are requested to register their Digital Life Certificate either through Common Service Centre/bank/EPFO field offices with their Aadhar Card, Bank Account and mobile number . DC Longleng inform schools & colleges

Longleng, October 31 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, M Shayung Phom has informed all the colleges and schools under Longleng town that the District Task Force- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) and Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Longleng will be conducting a meeting on November 1 at the DC's conference hall, Longleng for formation of Adolescence Girl's Club. Therefore, all the concerned teacher in-charge and all the class monitors of class 8 & 9 standard (girls only) have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

 

PAC meeting today

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) has informed all the PAC members (tribe representatives, core committee, office bearers) of a meeting to be held on November 1, 11:00 am at Naga Council Conference Hall. A press release from PAC Convenor, Vekhosayi Nyekha has requested all to attend the meeting positively.

 

ASAN informs agriculture graduates

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The ASAN has notified all the agriculture graduates of Nagaland to register themselves with the ASAN. The registration drive will start from November 1 – 15. A press release from its Information and Publicity Secretary Nongothung Murry has informed that one can register through their respective district joint secretary of ASAN.

 

ENCSU meet

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students' Union (ENCSU) has convened a meeting on November 2, 11:30 am at Hotel Aquila, Bank Colony, Dimapur to discuss about the upcoming general session cum literary fest, 2019 which is to be held at Yingli Government College, Longleng.  In this regard, the ENCSU have asked all the Dimapur based Eastern College Students Unions' presidents and general secretaries of various colleges to attend the meeting positively. Cabin crew recruitment drive at ESTI

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): Emporium Skills Training Institute (ESTI), an empanelled training partner of Nagaland Government will be conducting a direct cabin crew recruitment drive in Dimapur at ESTI, Corporate Office, Middle Point Colony beside Metro Hospital, Dimapur for both male and female candidates. A press release from Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd stated that candidates who have passed class 12 examination, with minimum height of 157 cm for females and 170 cm for males and are between the age of 18-27 having clear skin and no tattoos in visible areas can come for the interview, with Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Class 12 mark sheets, two copies of resume and two passport size photos. Emporium, being a state government empanelled training partner is conducting the recruitment drive and interview free of cost, so as to eradicate the problem of unemployment among the youth, the release added.
