NLA meeting of Committee for Oral Evidence postponed

Kohima, November 11 (MExN): Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings, Nagaland Legislative Assembly has informed that the meeting of the Committee for Oral Evidence with the Departmental Representatives pertaining to Examination of the C&AG Report of India for the period 2011-2016 for NIRMSC, NHL and NHHDC under the Department of Industries & Commerce which was scheduled on November 13 at 11.00 A.M in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat, Kohima  will stand postponed till further order.

 

Lothatsu Prayer Centre informs

Wokha, November 11 (MExN): The Lothatsu Prayer Centre, Wokha Town monthly prayer and leadership training programme will be held on the theme - ‘You are the light of the world’ (Mathew 5:14-16) from November 15 to 17 at LPC Zutanphen Wokha Town. The speakers during the programme were – Rev. Rhyutsemo Ngullie Pastor TBC, Vezokhoo Vero Pastor Naga Shisha Hoho Prayer Centre Purzie Kohima, Ratsuo Ezung Awona Advocate Missionary Nepal and BT Patton Missionary at Large Sanis Village BC and exhortation by James Ezung Rtd. Director Soil Department, Government of Nagaland. The LPC has informed all prayer centre and prayer home to send at least one delegate to attend the programme, also inform to bring their own bedding, accommodation will be provided by the LPC. Advance prayer group and praise and worship are asked to get prepared for leading the service regularly. All believers and delegates are requested to pray for the success of the scheduled programme.
 

 

Wokha DPDB meeting postponed

Wokha, November 11 (MExN): DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed all DPDB members that the monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting is being postponed to November 21 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha at 11:00 AM. All members have been requested to take note of the change of date and attend the meeting positively.

 

Drivers attend workshop in Kohima 

Kohima, November 11 (MExN): In view of the forth coming Hornbill Festival 2019, the Regional Transport Authority, Kohima conducted one day workshop and orientation programme for Taxi drivers (ANTA) and City bus drivers (CBOUK) on November 8 at Multi Purpose Hall, IG Stadium Kohima. A press release issued by S. Yaongsanglee Chang, Regional Transport Officer, Kohima informed that more than 500 drivers attended the workshop with resource persons from the Tourism Department- Veyielo Doulo, Dy. Director, Tourist Police David Konyak, ABSI, Neizhalie Ketsoza, OC, South PS (Traffic) and Er Bendang Longchar, Motor Vehicles Officer spoke in the workshop and awarded certificate of participation to all the participant drivers.

 

Deputy CM Patton mourns 

Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): The Deputy CM and BJP Leader, Y. Patton had expressed his anguish over the untimely demise of his friend Ezanimo Lotha of Lakhuti village, who passed away in Naga Hospital, Kohima on November 11. Patton in a condolence message stated that Lt. Ezanimo Lotha had given the best of his life time in the service of the people untill his retirement as Joint Development Commissioner, Government of Nagaland. Recalling his college days together in Shillong, Y. Patton described Lt. Ezanimo Lotha as a man of simplicity, straight forward, very honest and kind hearted person. His untimely demise had caused huge loss not only to his village community and the Lothas but to the Naga community as a whole. At this hour of grief and sorrow, Patton along with his family conveyed condolences to Helen and the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty God to grant them comfort so as to bear the loss in fortitude and also prayed that may the departed soul rest in eternal peace. 

 

Phek DPDB meeting held 

Phek, November 11 (MExN): Phek District Planning Development Board was held on November 11 at DPDB Hall, Phek under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS. A DIPR report stated that the Board approved the proposal for forwarding of application of registration of society in respect of Berha Berhi Kro (Handloom & Handicraft Society) and upgradation of Good Shepherd Baptist School from Primary to Upper Primary School Up to (Class-VIII). The Chairman informed the house that there will be a combine Pre-Christmas celebration and DPDB meeting on December 10. Land Resources Department, Phek gave a presentation of their departmental activities. Health & Family Welfare Department, Phek was directed to present departmental activity report in the next meeting.

 

KVYO Winter Bazaar 2019 from Dec 2-23

Kohima, November 11 (MExN): The Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) informed that KVYO inter Bazaar 2019 will take place from December 2 to 23 at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground. The bazaar would include first hand and second hand garments, fruits, vegetables, funfair, trade-expo and many more. Issue of registration form started today and will continue till November 12. The date of form submission will be from November 20 to 22. Interested persons may collect the form from KVYO office, Probogei, United Traders Building, Main Town, Kohima. Use of single use plastic will be banned during this Winter Bazaar. This was stated in a release issued by Thepfusavi Suohu, convenor KVYO Winter Bazaar, 2019.
