PDJESA call off proposed agitation 

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 31 (MExN): The Power Department Junior Engineers’ Service Association (PDJESA) has called off the agitation proposed on February 1, 2020. According to a press note, the agitation has been called off after KD Vizo, ITS, Principal Secretary, IT&C and Power and Er. Shikato Sema, Engineer-in-Chief, Department of Power assured to take up their issue on priority.

 

Sumi Council Dimapur meeting on February 1

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): All office bearers, advisors and executives of Sumi Council Dimapur are informed that there will be an emergency meeting at Council office on February 1 at 3:00 pm. All concerned are requested to attend the meeting without fail. 

 

TSUD executive meeting on Feb 1

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): The Tenyimi Student's Union Dimapur (TSUD) has convened a meeting with all the executives on February 1 (Saturday) at TSUD complex at 10:00 am. All the executives are requested to attend the meeting positively. 

 

HSLC & HSSLC examination committee meeting on Feb 4

Kohima, January 31 (MExN): A meeting regarding the conduct of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2020 has been convened on February 4 at 11:00 am in the DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. In this regard, DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has requested all concerned members of the Examination Committee to make it convenient to attend the meeting without fail.

 

NISHTHA 2nd phase from Feb 4 to 8

Kohima, January 31 (MExN): The five-day integrated mass teachers training on National Initiative for School Heads & Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) 2nd phase under District Mission Authority (DMA) Samagra Shiksha, Kohima will be held from February 4 to 8, 9:00 am at TM Government Higher Secondary School Kohima. Shortlisted teachers as intimated to the respective schools are once again directed to mandatorily attend the training with smart phone and Email ID. This was informed in a press release issued by Thongsenlo Kath, Assistant District Coordinator DMA, Samagra Shiksha, Kohima. 

 

AMEN general meeting on Feb 8

Kohima, January 31 (MExN): The Association of Mechanical Engineers’ Nagaland (AMEN) has called for general meeting on February 8, 11:00 am at NSF conference hall near DC’s office, Kohima. All the members are asked to attend the meeting without fail.

 

ANGPTA 1st triennial on Feb 14

Kohima, January 31 (MExN): The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers Association (ANGPTA) will be holding its 1st Triennial Conference which is scheduled to take place at 10:00 am on the 14th of February at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima. In this regard, ANGPTA, Kohima Unit has informed all the primary teachers under Kohima district to compulsory attend the conference without fail. The release further stated that attendance will be taken according to school wise.

 

DC and DMC discusses on ‘waste free city’

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, IAS visited Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) office on January 29 to discuss various issues of DMC particularly on sanitation service. DMC administrator Albert Ezung in a press release said that during the discussion, the DC put forward his suggestions to make a strategy for clearing all the clogged drains and also assured to extend full support and cooperation from District Administration to make Dimapur district city a waste free city.

 

NSCN-IM mourns 

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): The NSCN-IM has expressed grief at the untimely demise of (L) Major Thekho Zholia of Ihoshe Battalion, Naga Army from Zelome village under Chakhesang Region on January, 31. He enrolled in the Naga national service on May 10, 1995. “The office of the Adjutant General, Naga Army bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on January 31, 2020 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation,” stated a press release issued by the MIP of NSCN-IM. The NSCM-IM has conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and pray to the Almighty God to grant his souls eternal peace and rest. 

 

Vehicle accident near Sechü Zubza

Kohima, January 31 (MExN): A vehicle (Alto) on its way to Dimapur from Phek district met an accident today along NH- 29 near Sechü Zubza. CRPF officers and jawan at Sechü Zubza reached the spot and rescued all four injured personnel. After given first aid by MO, the injured persons have been sent to Naga Hospital Kohima in unit ambulance for further treatment.

 

ENCSU conference cum sports meet concludes 

Longleng, January 31 (MExN): The closing programme of ENCSU conference cum sports meet was held at public local ground, Longleng on January 30 with M Shayung Phom, Deputy Commissioner Longleng as special guest. Atopu Sumi, Addl SP Longleng also spoke during the function. The Dimapur Unit emerged overall champion of the sports meet. The closing programme was chaired by MY Chusa Chang, Dy Speaker ENCSU and Akham Lims, Vice President ENCSU. Special song was presented by Loyem Degree Memorial College, Tuensang, welcome address was given by K Chumseli Aner, AsstGeneral Secretary.
