NCD discusses progress of New Naga Cemetery
Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) held an emergency meeting at New Naga Cemetery site on February 11. The meeting was called with regard to the construction and development of the New Naga Cemetery at Zani village area, said a press release from NCD General Secretary, Thsapongkyu Sangtam. A power point presentation on the burial architectural design and model was presented by Chubakumla Pongen. The councilors present in the meeting unanimously approved the model of uniform burial design. The meeting also took the decision to extend the tenure of the present councilors till May 31 in order to oversee the completion of the new Naga Cemetery project which is due to be completed within 3 months time, the release added. Earlier in the meeting, welcome address was delivered by NCD President T Bangerloba and invocation pronounced by senior councilor, Mikha Lomi.
Kohima DEO informs on IFA tablets
Kohima, February 12 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima Dojü Khate has directed the Principals GHSS/Headmasters/GHS and GMS Head Teacher under District DEO, Kohima to send a Trained Nodal Teacher to collect required Iron Folic Acid (IFA) tablets. This information is directed to the respective schools who, during 2017-2019 have been engaged in implementing and utilizing weekly Iron Folic supplementation (WIFS) programme launched by the Medical department for the students. The DEO in a press release has informed the respective schools to send the teachers along with students’ enrolment list at the DEO office during office hours with effect from February 17 – 21 without fail.
Pughoboto SDPDB meet held
Pughoboto, February 12 (MExN): Pughoboto Sub Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) was conducted under the ADC Pughoboto and SDPDB Vice Chairman T Moa Lemtor held at DB court on February 11. Since Pughoboto is in the border area, the house decided to request the government for setting up IRB Post in Ghathashi. The board also agreed to go for more plantations in the sub-division and to write to all village councils to submit the list of names for saplings. The house also invited the Village Council to deliberate on 'Green Pughoboto' in the next SDPDB meeting.
Team assesses Wokha hospitals for KAYAKALP award
Wokha, February 12 (MExN): The peer assessment for KAYAKALP award under Wokha district was conducted from January 31 to February 6. District hospital Wokha, Sanis and Bhandari CHCs, Wozhuro, Chukitong, Nyiro and Englan PHCs were assessed by internal team from the district. The assessment was done by Dr CW Tungoe, CMO; Dr Zuben Kikon, Deputy CMO; Dr Wemeri, SMO; Dr Thungchanbeni Patton DPM (QA) and Mhonbeni Ezung, DPM. The team also held a brief meeting with the staff of health facilities after the assessment where they were encouraged to sustain good practices and strive for delivering better health care services.
