CM Rio congratulates Kejriwal

Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has congratulated Arvind Kejriwal on being sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister today at Ramlila Maidan. “Congratulations, @ArvindKejriwal on being sworn-in as the Chief Minister of #Delhi. May Delhi continue to develop under your leadership. I wish you a successful tenure,” tweeted Rio in his official Twitter account. Kejriwal, AAP senior leader and national convener took the oath of office for the third time along with his Cabinet ministers from the previous term.

DC Phek bans hunting 

Phek, February 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Phek has given an order to all concerned that hunting/killing or possession of wild animals is strictly prohibited. “Any person found hunting or in possession of wild animals will be liable for strict action as laid down by law.” The order comes in the wake of the outbreak of the Novel Corona Virus in China and other countries which was declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as Public Health Emergency of International Concern. As per DIPR report, the evidence on the Novel Corona Virus suggested that there may have been transmission of viruses through wild animals to humans.

NNC-PB ZLR-R, AMN terminates two

Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): The Naga National Council -Parent Body Zeliangrong Region, AMN (NNC-PB ZLR-R, AMN) has terminated two of its members. A press release through MIP Cell stated that one, Commandant 1st Battalion Gaiguilung and Corporal Hangbu, both from New Jalukie village of Peren district has been terminated with immediate effect from February 15. “The termination was necessitated due to their detrimental actions of taxations as they continue to violate the Azha for selfish interest even after several warnings served to them.” Their actions “severely affects the smooth functioning of the Region's authority,” the release said.

Wokha medical board exam on Feb 27

Wokha, February 16 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer Wokha will be conducting the Medical Board Examination for service confirmation of the State Government Employees under Wokha District who are yet to appear for the said examination on February 27, 10.00 am at CMO Office Wokha.
