ADC Pfutsero informs
Phek, February 19 (MExN): ADC Pfutsero, Phuleshe K Yepthomi has notified that certain beneficiaries are yet to remove standing structure/building or demolished only a certain portion of structure which has been duly compensated for the construction of 2-Lane road from Pfutsero to Phek under SARDP-NE. In this regard, the ADC in a notification has “hereby given last and final Notice till February 24 to start immediate evacuation/complete demolition failing which, concerned authority will initiate necessary action.”
NFHRCC joint inspection visit to Doyang Bridge
Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): The NFHRCC, Contractor and the Department of PWD (R&B), Nagaland will undertake a joint inspection to the ongoing construction site of the Doyang Bridge, Governor's Camp, Liphanyan-Koro on February 22. The team will leave at 8:00 am from NFHRCC Office, Dimapur, said a press release from NFHRCC, while all the tribal members are requested to be present without fail.
CKS & NSCN (IM) Chang Region discuss Indo-Naga talks
Tuensang, February 19 (MExN): The Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) with its apex body held a meeting with Chang Region NSCN (IM) on February 17 at CKS Hall. The Chang Region NSCN (IM) shared the views and opinions especially on the issues of ‘PAN Naga Hoho' at the ongoing Indo-Naga political negotiation. Many leaders of Chang community also deliberated their opinion and views over the issue on the basis of present context of the Nagas in general and particular in Nagas of Nagaland, a press release from CKS President, Nungsanglemba said. The CKS reassured its commitment for an acceptable and honorable solution to the Naga political issue at the earliest.
NNC (Parent Body) issues prayer appeal
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18 (MExN): The NNC (Parent Body) under Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimchungru and V Nagi has appealed to the Naga people and the North East people to “pray for the people in China as they are facing the pandemics of Corona Virus which is causing death and pain in their country.” A press release from the NNC (Parent Body) information and publicity wing further asked all to take precautionary measures to stop and prevent the virus from spreading further.
Cancer awareness seminar today
Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): The Inner Wheel Club of Dimapur will be organizing an awareness seminar on breast cancer and cervical cancer under the theme “Early Detection Saves Life” at Rotary Center Midland on February 20 from 3:30 pm onwards. The speakers are Dr Mhasiseno T Belho and Dr Khusboo Agarwal.
Mokokchung DPDB meet
Mokokchung, February 19 (MExN): Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of February will be held on February 25 at ADC Planning Conference Hall, Mokokchung from 11:00 am. All Heads of Offices (DPDB members) have been informed to attend the meeting positively.
