H&FW directorate to hold meet for RVV today

Kohima, July 17 (MExN): The Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, R Ramakrishnan, IAS has informed that a State Task Force meeting for Rotavirus Vaccine (RVV) will be held on July 18, 12:00 pm in the IDSP conference hall, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare. As per DIPR report, all officers have been requested to attend the meeting.

KMC directs shopkeepers

Kohima, July 17 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all the shopkeepers and business establishments within Kohima municipal area to white wash/paint the front side of their respective buildings and shops facing the road on or before August 12. This was stated in a release issued by KMC administrator Kovi Meyase.

Social audit public hearing held in Kohima

Kohima, July 17 (MExN): A social audit public hearing was held at the DPDB conference hall in DC Office, Kohima on July 16. The public hearing was conducted for Jakhama and Botsa Block. Village and public representatives from the two blocks attended. The Project Director, DRDA Kohima along with the BDO of Jakhama and Botsa blocks represented by the people. Observer from the Deputy Commissioner was represented by the SDO-C, Judicial, and Observer from the AG was represented by senior Audit Officer and state resource person from SAU also attended. All Audit matters relating to different villages were discussed and queries were replied and clarified by the VDB Secretaries. The programme concluded with vote of thanks from Alemla J Chishi, chairperson, Project Director, DRDA Kohima.'

AoNLB co-ordination meet

Kohima, July 17 (MExN): Association of Nagaland Literature Boards (AoNLB) has convened a co-ordination meeting on July 26 at CANESSA Building conference Hall, Kohima, 10:00 am with respective MLAs, hoho presidents, student leaders, respective language officers and thirteen literature boards. A press release issued by the Press & information Secretary, AoNLB stated that it held a consultative meeting with the tribal and student leaders of the 11 tribes (thirteen Literature Boards) on July 12 where it sought permission to study “mother tongue subject in secondary level, ie Class IX & X which is a long felt need but not materialized.” With a view to open the way for children, the board has requested all to attend the meeting.
