Nodal Officer to pre-authenticate docs from Nagaland

Dimapur DC informs

DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (DIPR): DC & DEO Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS has informed all the contesting candidates/Election Agents of I-Dimapur I, 2-Dimapur II, 3-Dimapur III, 4-Ghaspani I & 5-Ghaspani II under Dimapur district that there shall be a meeting with the Expenditure Observers on March 31 at 11:00am in the conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. All the contesting candidates / Election Agents have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

A&E informs HoDs

DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): The office of the Principal Accountant General has informed all Heads of Departments to expedite the settlement of GPF final payment claims. A press note from the A&E office informed that the manual system of collection and submission of confirmation of GPF final payment cases will be replaced by Online GPF confirmation system. It added that the A&E would seek confirmation by sending the list of retirees to the email addresses of the Head of Departments for confirmation. The Head of Departments should reply electronically at agaenagaland@cag.gov.in with a copy duly endorsed to the Finance Department. All HoDs have also been informed that the new system will be implemented as of April 1, 2018. As such they have been asked to furnish their Email IDs at the earliest .

 

CCSU urges govt to follow OM on indigenous employees

DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has appealed to the Nagaland government for withdraw all the non-indigenous appointees based on the Office Memorandum NO. A-3/Gen-174/2007(Pt), dated, October 27, 2017 by which the recruitment of Grade-IV in district offices of the department shall be filled up by the indigenous inhabitants of the respective district. This appeal was made to the government during the CCSU’s 55th federal assembly session held at Kumpüng Village. It further asked that all the HODs and employees of government departments in Tuensang should remain in the station and perform the assigned duties diligently. Other resolutions included strict prohibition on hunting under Chang jurisdiction from January to October; and that closing down or declaring holidays in schools/institutions in regard to any festivals or celebrations other than national holidays is not allowed.  

Meeting for PWDs held in Tuensang

TUENSANG, MARCH 28 (DIPR): The first meeting of the Tuensang District Level Consultations for Inclusion and Participation of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) was held on March 28 under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tuensang, Albert Ezung. The ADC appraised the house on the directives given by the Election Commission regarding providing facilities to Persons with Disabilities. He also said the each elector is important for better functioning of democracy and they must get their rights. The election commission focuses especially on PWDs to participate in the election process with their inclusion in the electoral Roll and encourage them to exercise their franchise, he added. He further urged the members to have an action plan in the District level and make its basic fundamental responsibility to identify the PWDs once, they have identified they'll need to be sensitized. The meeting was attended by the District Administration, Chief Medical Officer, Welfare Department, Education Department, DPRO, Tuensang and Assistant Election Officer Tuensang.
