Online GPF confirmation system temporarily down

Kohima, May 4 (MExN): All the GPF subscribers of Nagaland State government have been informed that the online GPF confirmation system is temporarily down due to maintenance work. During this period the site will be temporarily inaccessible, stated a press release from Senior Accounts Officer, GPF Wing of office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E). Therefore, all have been requested to bear with the inconvenience till the work is over.  

Basic course for Scout Master and Guide Captain

Kohima, May 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) will conduct basic course for Scout Master and Guide Captain from May 17 to 24 at State Training Centre, Nerhema. In a press release, NSBSG informed that a person above 18 years of age, both male and female, can attend it. Following are the requirements for the course: Educational qualification – Matric and above; registration fee – Rs. 100; and Development fee Rs. 80. NSSATA Phek reaffirms support to central office

Phek, May 4 (MExN): The Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) Phek district unit has reaffirmed its fullest support to the NSSATA central office to continue the pen down strike within Phek district jurisdiction as directed by the central office. A press statement appended by NSSATA Phek district unit president, Kuku Soho and asst. general secretary, Vetsilü Hesuh has informed all its members to comply and be prepared for any further action as and when called for.  

Three NSCN (IM) cadres apprehended

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): Medziphema and Dimapur battalions of Assam Rifles reportedly apprehended three NSCN (IM) cadres with illegal arms, ammunition and incriminating documents from a house in 5th Mile, Dimapur on May 3. A press release from HQ IGAR (North) has identified the three as 2nd Lt Wungbam Zimik (29), Sgt Maj Lamnei Kon (26), and Lance Cpl Leli Mao (25). The recoveries from the individuals included one 9mm pistol with magazine, one .32 pistol with magazine, two rounds of 9mm ammunition, two rounds of .32 ammunition, one bullet AK-47, eight mobiles and three pairs of combat clothes, the release said. The apprehended along with the recovered items were handed over to Diphupar Police station Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
