CEO notifies on training for nodal officers
Kohima, January 14 (MExN): Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS in a notice has informed that the training programme for Nodal Officers of AHoDsand HoDs in connection with formation and functioning of Voters Awareness Forum will be held on January 15 at Hotel Japfu at 2:00 PM. The training programme shall be led by the two State Level Master Trainers. The duly trained Nodal Officers shall take up with the respective AHoDs and HoDs and launch the respective Voter Awareness Forum on January 16 as prescribed by the Election Commission of India. All have been requested to participate in the programme positively.
NSCN-IM mourns
Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): The NSCN-IM has expressed sadness over the demise of Siaraube Disuang, Razou Peyu, Asalu ZLR Region, son of Nramraing Disuang of Beisumpuikam village, on January 13 after prolonged illness. Giving an account of his service, NSCN-IM MIP in a press note stated that (Lt.) Siraube Disuang joined the national service on June 14, 2013. On October 19, 2014, he was appointed as Khapur. And on July 10, 2017 he was promoted to Razou Peyu. During his short period with the NSCN-IM, he has contributed his best for the nation and his name shall be recorded in the pages of the history of Naga political struggle, the note stated. “May his soul rest in peace, and may God comfort his family at this hour of grief and sorrow,” the note added.

Mon prepares for R-Day
Mon, January 14 (MExN): Meeting for Republic Day celebration 2019 was held on January 14 at DC Office Conference Hall, Mon. During the meeting, work distribution was done different departments were assigned duties for the successful conduct of the Republic Day celebration at Mon HQ. The Board also requested the parade contingents to start their practice from 21st January 2019 onwards at local ground Mon. Earlier, the meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant IAS, ADC Mon. The meeting was attended by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, District Administrations and Head of Offices under Mon HQ.
CBCC 68th annual general council
Phek, January 14 (MExN): The 68th annual general council of Chakhesang Baptist Church will be held from January 18 to 20 at Thenyizu Baptist Church under the theme ‘The Truth Will Set You Free’ (Jn. 8:32). Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, President CBCC, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary CBCC, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary NBCC and Rev. P. Bonny Resü will be the main speakers. Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary, CBCC in a press release has informed all the churches under CBCC to send six delegates each for churches having above 500 baptized members and four delegates each for churches having less than 500 baptized members. All the Executive Committee members are requested to arrive on January 17 before 2:00 pm.
Medziphema departmental co-ordination meeting held
Medziphema, January 14 (MExN): Medziphema Departmental co-ordination meeting consisting of all Head of Offices took place at the ADC Office, Medziphema on January 14 where EAC, Sentilong Ozukum chaired the meeting. The main aim of this co-ordination meeting was to chalk out the programme for the upcoming 70th Republic Day celebration on January 26. The chairman allocated various duties to all the departments and appealed to all the government employees both central and state to co-ordinate and focus on joint effort for the success of the programme. He also added compulsory attendance will be taken for all the government employees. The meeting was attended by all the head of offices and both government and private institutions.
AST executive meeting
DImapur, January 14 (MExN): The 12th executive meeting of the Akheta Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang (AST) will be held on January 24, 9:00 am at Sangtamtilla Village Council Hall. Atsala Anar, General Secretary, AST in a press release has requested all officials, executives, advisors, unit presidents, legal advisors and ENWO representatives to attend the meeting.
Monthly DPDB meeting for Peren district held
Peren, January 14 (MExN): The first monthly DPDB meeting for the Peren district for the year 2019 was held on January 11 at DCs Conference Hall, New HQ Peren. Vice Chairman DPDB and DC Peren S. Tainiu welcomed newly posted officers EAC Jalukie Wangan Phom and Forest Ranger Punseni Khing to the house. In the meeting, Kuki Tribal leader highlighted on the upcoming the 8th State Level Mimkut Mini Hornbill festival from January 15 to 17 at Ahthibung Town Peren District. ADC Peren, Sarita Yadav also informed the house to be part of the National Voters Day 2019 which will be celebrated on January 25 at Tening and Old Town Peren respectively. Work distribution pertaining to the forth coming Republic Day celebrations was also discussed in the meeting. Further DC also informed that there will be social work on January 22 in view of the celebrations.
