Kayakalp award ceremony in Kohima

Kohima, June 18 (MExN): The award giving ceremony of Kayakalp – ‘A Clean Hospital Initiative’ will be held on June 20 at the conference hall of Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima at 11:00 am. Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom will present the award. The programme will be chaired by Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Meguosielie Kire, while Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Himato Zhimomi will also address the gathering.  

ABAM organises ‘Social Concern’ training

Mokokchung, June 18 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) held ‘Social Concern’ training from June 13 to 15 in Impur. CHILDLINE 1098 Centre Coordinator, Lanutemsu and Collab Director, Imchawati Kichu represented CHILDLINE 1098, Mokokchung. The Collab Director sensitized the participants and enlightened them about CHILDLINE 1098, its functions and services. This was informed in a press release issued by Imchawati Kichu, who is also the Managing Director of Care and Support Society.  

Seminar on ‘Godly Fatherhood’ held in Wokha

Wokha, June 18 (MExN): A seminar on ‘Godly Fatherhood’ was organized by the Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) for fathers of 50 years of age and below on June 15 and 16 at WBTC. Altogether, 330 young fathers participated in the seminar, informed a press release from WTBC Associate Pastor, Khonbemo P Kikon. Resource persons were Rev. R Lotha, pastor of Tsüngiki Baptist Church and Rev. J Thungjamo Lotha, OCI Missionary.  

Mon DPDB meeting held

Mon, June 18 (MExN): Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on June 18 at DC’s conference hall here. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K (IAS). District Education Officer of Mon, R. Zayao Lotha highlighted the performance report of the HSLC and HSSLC results 2018 of Mon district. A DIPR report informed that the DPDB Mon awarded meritorious certificate along with cash amount of Rs. 5000/- each to Eklavya Model Residential School Tizit, Langsa Hill School L/Shanghah Village for 100% pass percentage in HSLC exam and United Christian Hr. Sec. School Naganimora in HSSLC exam. Agendas discussed in the meeting included grant-in-aid to St. John School Aboi and recognition of Loung Beginners Private School Leangha. The Board approved the same and recommended to the higher authority. Agriculture Department highlighted the activities of the department.

UCS honours 4

Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): University of Christian Studies (UCS) honoured four “servants of God” with Honoris Causa, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Divinity, and Doctor of Philosophy on June 15, informed a press release. The four are: Dr. Vitoli Yeptho Tsanglao – Doctor of Divinity, Dr. Elizabeth Cing – Doctor of Ministry, Rev. Dr. Prasanna Kumar Gutukula – Doctor of Divinity, Dr. Md. Kajal Uddin – Doctor of Philosophy, stated the release from Atoli A Chishi, Office Staff, UCS India. The convocation was graced by Rev. Dr. Sunam Ratna Beero, the president of World Mission Theological Seminary and faculty & advisor to International Council for Theological Accreditation (ICTA) as Speaker.
