DDADU to continue assisting traffic flow

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers Union (DDADU) in collaboration with the traffic personnel assisted in streamlining of traffic flow in and around Dimapur on January 15. In a press release, I Vitoshe Sema, President DDADU stated that it will continue to extend help in the days to come. Meanwhile, DDADU also observed that heavy traffic was mainly caused by bad roads and random parking especially by four wheelers.

DDGBA appeals to reschedule date

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): In a letter addressed to the Acting President, Dimapur District GB’s Association (DDGBA), Veyito Chishi and MY Ngullie Advisors, DDGBA has requested the office to reschedule the proposed date of selection/nomination of officials of DDGBA which has been fixed on January 22. The release mentioned, “It appears that there is a difference of opinion within the members of different tribes of GBs” and to which “misunderstanding and miscommunication” may arise. As such, it has requested the office to reschedule the date to the month of February for the interest and co-ordination within the members.

LBA 35th Annual Session to be held at Jalukie

Peren, January 15 (MExN): The 35th Annual Session of Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Nagaland will be held at Jalukie B. Baptist Church from January 18 to 20. LBA Executive Secretary Rev Kitanwi Chawang in a press release stated that during the session farewell programme for the outgoing Office Assistant Sundouliu Rentta will be organized. It also informed that five delegates from each church including one representative each from Youth and Women departments are to be present at the meeting. Rs 150 will be charged per head as registration fee from the delegates. Fooding and lodging will be provided by the host Church and the delegates are informed to bring their own bedding.

State contingent participates in 6th NEYF 2018

Tripura, January 15 (MExN): The State Contingent participated in the 6th North East Youth Festival (NEYF) conducted at Agartala, Tripura from November 15-18, 2018. Neitseilie Liniu secured 3rd place in Guitar Recital and Lipokmanen Longkumer secured 3rd place in Painting. A total of seventeen contingent comprising of male and female participated which was led by N Vineikholie, Youth Resources Officer Phek and BIJIM PIS. This was stated in a press release by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports.

LBC Kohima to celebrate Silver Jubilee

Kohima, January 15 (MExN): The Liangmai Baptist Church (LBC) Kohima Bayavu Hill will celebrate its silver jubilee on accomplishment of 25 years of God’s faithfulness from January 24 to 25 at the church premises under the theme “thy faithfulness is unto all generations” (Psalm 119:90). Schedule of programme - Unfurling of monolith at 9:00am on January 25, followed by service at 10:00 am. Speakers for the occasion will be Rev Kitanwi Chewang, Executive Secretary, LBA (N) and Rev Kamwang Rentta former Executive Secretary, LBA (N). Pastor and the members of LBC has invited all former members and to all the invitees to grace the occasion with their presence. This was stated in a press release by Haiwibou Newmai, Information & Publicity LBC.

FGN condoles

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The Naga Army, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed deep grief on the untimely demise of Brigadier Medochulie, Naga Army No. 03926, 6th Battalion 2nd Bde. W/C on January 15 at his home in Ura Village, Angami Region, Nagaland.
In a condolence message, General Tavecho Lala, C-in-C, Naga Army, FGN stated that Brig Medochulie son of Tsovilie of Meriema Village joined Naga Army on May 18, 1963 and steadfastly served the nation till his death. He successfully carried out his assigned duties in the Alee Command to East Pakistan and China. He also held various posts in National Defense Service, and was a recipient of Military Cross (MC) and Hero Award.
“He was a true patriot,” stated the message adding that his patriotic services rendered to the Nation shall always remain alive in the history of the Naga Nation. General Lala prayed for his soul to rest in peace and that the Almighty God grant peace and solace to the bereaved family.
