DC Kohima informs

Kohima, June 22 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has informed private vehicle owners/drivers of Kohima district whose vehicles were requisitioned and detailed for election duty during the bye-election to the Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency, 2018 to collect the vehicle hire charges from June 25 to 28. The same is to be collected from the Election Branch, office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima during office working hours.  

DDADU informs

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) president, I Vitoshe Sema has reminded the autorickshaw owners not to hand over their autorickshaws to people/drivers who do not possess proper documents such as union’s identity card. This order has been issued in order to ease traffic jam and to check proxy drivers, Vitoshe stated in a press release. It noted that the traffic jam has been eased so far due to surprise checking of union’s identity card by the union officials from time to time. The DDADU president also requested commuters to take note of the registration number of autorickshaws they travel in so that any belongings left in the auto can be traced/recovered more easily once they report to the office. Meanwhile, the auto drivers were requested to hand over any belonging they find in their vehicle to the DDADU head office at Supermarket near Hotel Saramati or contact 8132836298.  

International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26

Kohima, June 22 (MExN): Nagaland along with the rest of the country will be observing International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26. In the state capital Kohima, the programme will take place at Hotel Japfü from 11:00 am onwards under the theme “Listen first.” It will be held under the aegis of Nagaland Police, Social Welfare department, Nagaland State AIDS Control Society, Kripa Foundation, and Nagaland Users Network. Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Er Vikho-o Yhoshu will address the function. Short speech will be delivered by Sonia Singh, Inspector General of Police (Headquarter/Range) and Dr. Joyce Angami, president, Nagaland Medical Council.

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students Union Dimapur (CSUD) has convened its Union Assembly on June 23 at the premises of the Western Chakhesang Hoho building Dimapur, Chakhesang colony at 3:00 pm.
