AR apprehend two with liquor
Wokha, June 26 (MExN): Wokha battalion of Assam Rifles seized liquor allegedly worth Rs 8.36 lakhs from a vehicle (Mahindra Scorpio) bearing registration number NL 01 4142 during a spot Mobile Vehicle Check at Chukitong. Two persons identified as Kughato Sema (25) and Viyato Sema (24) were apprehended in this regard, according to a press release from HQ IGAR (N). The seized liquor comprised of 1973 bottles of Mc Dowell and No 1 Celebration Rum and 234 cans of Kingfisher beer, it added. The apprehended persons along with the recovered liquor were handed over to Wokha Police Station for further investigation.
CMA bids farewell to DC & SP of Phek
Kohima, June 26 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) has bid farewell to the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Shavanas C (IAS) and Superintendent of Police Dr. Naieem Mustafa Mansory (IPS) of Phek, who have been transferred out of the district. According to a press release jointly appended by CMA president Zaposhelu Venuh and general secretary Ruyizolu Rhakho, the two outgoing officers had rendered their best yeomen services to the people of the district and the people benefited a lot even during their short stay. The CMA also welcomed the new incoming DC, Orenthung and SP, Muthasuyi. Expressing its hope and confidence at the new two officers, the CMA was hopeful of innovative and creative changes for the welfare and interest of the people. It assured to render “unflinching cooperation” as and when needed.
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Seva Dal attends leadership prog
Dimapur, June 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Seva Dal led by its Chief Organiser, Yongyo Konyak attended the North East Region Seva Dal ‘leadership development programme’ in Imphal, Manipur on June 21-23 at Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee Bhavan. A press release from Yongyo Konyak informed that Lalji Dasai, Chief Organiser, All India Congress Seva Dal deliberated on uplifting the leadership and strengthening of Congress party, progress of the North East Region Congress Seva Dal. Meanwhile, N Neilo Koza, National Organiser Secretary, All India Congress Seva Dal presented on the topic of ‘BJP party’s false propagation to our people before and after election’.
