DEO Dimapur on CEAF scholarships

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The District Education Officer, Dimapur has informed to those merit students who were selected for the Children Education Assistant Fund (CEAF), both fresh and renewal, to collect their scholarship by submitting photo copy of last year’s mark sheet and identity card from Room No-1 during office hour from July 2, 2018 onwards.  

Government dept asked to submit its yearly activities

KOHIMA, JUNE 28 (MExN): The District Planning Officer and Member Secretary, DPDB, Kohima, Heinswading has informed all Department District Head Officers to submit their respective department’s activities, programmes and status to the office of the District Planning Officer at the earliest, so as to incorporate in the District Profile of District Planning and Development Board, Kohima 2018-2019.  

DDLSA National Lok Adalat on July 14

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) has informed that it will be conducting National Lok Adalat on bank matters/MACT & insurance claims/telephone bills/electricity bills/water bills criminal compoundable cases on July 14 at District Court premises, Dimapur. In this connection, all concerned have been informed that any claims/cases to be settled in the coming National Lok Adalat (pre-litigation/pending cases) be brought before the front office, DDLSA on or before July 10, 2018.  

Police station building inaugurated at Panso

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): Adviser for Fisheries, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics Nagaland, L. Khumo inaugurated the Panso Police Station building on June 27, 2018 at Panso Police Station. According to a press release, the programme was chaired by O.C Panso, T. Jongsen, UBSI while welcome address was delivered by Pathso Area GB's Union president, K. Pukho. Special song was presented by K. Sukho & co. Short speeches on behalf of the department was given by Neiba Newmei (IPS) Sr. SP Tuensang which was followed by cultural presentations.  

CNC special prayer program on June 30

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): A special program for the Steering Committee Members and Kilonsers, NSCN-IM will be conducted at CHQ Church, Hebron by Council of Nagalim Churches on June 30, 2018. A press release issued by CNC general secretary Rev Seksim Kasar informed that Rev. Fr. Dr. Godfrey shall be the guest speaker on the theme of health and the Bible. In this connection, all members of the Steering Committee and Kilonsers have been invited to the special program on at the CHQ, Church, Hebron which will begin at 10 am.  

One held with 6012 capsules of SP

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The Dimapur District Excise duty party led by AIE (I/C) Mainshila Aier manning the Excise check gate at Chumukedima arrested one Toika Awomi, aged 29, for illegal possession of 6012 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon while travelling on a passenger taxi to Zunheboto via Kohima on June 26, 2018. According to a press release issued by the Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, the seized drug, as per the preliminary investigation report, was to be sold at Zunheboto for a profit. Accordingly, the accused was booked under the relevant section of the D&C Act 1940 and forwarded to judicial custody for necessary trial, the press release added.  

AR apprehend 2 NSCN (K) cadres

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) established a mobile vehicle check post near war cemetery on June 27, 2018 and apprehended two individuals belonging to the NSCN (K) with arms and ammunitions. According to a press release, the two apprehended were identified as Alei Phabong and Ganpo Konyak. The recoveries made include one 7.65 mm pistol with magazine, two 7.65mm live rounds and one drug capsule. The two revealed that they were in Kohima to plan and execute an attack within the town and were part of the group which were involved in attacks on Lemposhinga and Aboi against Assam Rifles, the press release stated. The two along with recovered items were handed over to North Police Station, Kohima for further investigation, the press release added.  

ATMA Peren block conduct training on aspects of productive cultivation

DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The ATMA Peren block conducted a training and demonstration at Kejanglwa Village under Peren district. Under the aspects of productive cultivation, Kewichamsi, ATM trained the farmers on package and practices of banana cultivation. He elucidated on the latest techniques of banana cultivation for better growth and yield. Later Kibale, ATM appraised on Nursery bed preparation- its advantages and management practices and various types of nursery. Altogether 27 farmers attended the training.
