Zila Sainik Board ex-servicemen outreach mission in Mokokchung
Mokokchung, July 2 (MExN): Secretary, Zila Sainik Board has informed that an ex servicemen outreach mission will be conducted by Zila Sainik Board Mokokchung at Prasidhan Hall, 44 Assam Rifles from July 3, 9:30 am onwards. Ex-servicemen residents of Zone-I, i.e., Mongsenbai, Artang, Lijaba Lijen and Sangtemla wards have been informed to attend the programme. The mission for the remaining 14 wards of Mokokchung Town, which falls under Zone- II to V, will be conducted subsequently and will be announced in due course of time, stated a DIPR report.
Honey Mission: Bee boxes, bee colony to be distributed
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Under the ‘Honey Mission’ programme, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Nagaland is going to distribute bee boxes, bee colony etc. to the 40 selected beneficiaries of Dimapur district on July 4 from 1:00 pm onwards at Multi Disciplinary Training Center (MDTC), Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board, Kuda Village, Nagarjan, Dimapur. This was informed by KVIC Nagaland Deputy Director I/C, I Athuba Lusang.
Tuensang DDCMC meeting held
Tuensang, July 2 (MExN): Tuensang District Development and Co-ordination Monitoring Committee meeting was held at DC’s conference hall here on June 29. L Jamithung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, who chaired the meeting, spoke on DISHA Week and said it was observed throughout the country from June 25 to 29 to highlight the flagship programmes of the government. Various departments – DRDA, Municipality, PWD (R&B), Social Welfare, PHED, LRD, Education (SSA), DAO Agri, Horticulture, Medical and BSNL – presented the departmental activities of the flagship programmes during 2017-18 and 2018-19.
Nagaland Pensioners’ Association office shifted
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Nagaland Pensioners’ Association office in Dimapur has been shifted to Khensa Baptist Arogo Centenary Memorial Building near DABA. The association’s president has in a press release requested all to contact at the new office.
Medziphema departmental meeting held
Medziphema, July 2 (MExN): Medziphema sub-division departmental co-ordination meeting was held at ADC office here on July 2. ADC Medziphema, Thsuvisie Phoji, who chaired the meeting, called upon the officers to work together and give full co-operation to the government as well as public. According to a DIPR report, he further urged all the heads of offices to highlight their departmental setup and activities and also to discuss issues and problems concerning Medziphema sub-division during such co-ordination meetings. It was also decided that the next meeting will be held on August 5.
Excise dept bids farewell to Additional Commissioner
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The Excise department bid farewell to the senior-most departmental officer Visedelie Mepfuo, Additional Commissioner of Excise, who retired on completion of 35 years of service. In a simple function held in honour of the outgoing officer, Tarep Imchen, Commissioner of Excise highlighted the various achievements under the leadership of the Additional Commissioner, informed a press release from the department. Meanwhile, Mepfuo expressed gratitude to the departmental officers and staffs for their cooperation rendered during his tenure and urged them to give their best for the department’s improvement.
