GST Assistance Booths in Dimapur on July 6

Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): Office of the Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST), Dimapur under the Government of India will set up special GST Assistance Booths on July 6 from 10:30 am till 5:00 pm at City Tower area, Circular Road and Millennium Market, GS Road, Dimapur to commemorate “successful implementation” of GST, which has completed one year. A press release from Assistant Commissioner of CGST, Dimapur, L Krelo informed this has been arranged as part of the GST Week celebration. Hands-on assistance pertaining to new Registration and Return Filing will be given at the booths, the release stated.  

P&AR reminds departments

Kohima, July 4 (MExN): The Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) department has in a notification stated that despite the direction to all the departments to furnish report of all pending cases for condonation of overage by June 10, 2018, many departments have failed to submit the same. Hence, all the departments which are yet to furnish the information have been directed to submit a consolidated report of all the pending cases for condonation of overage to P&AR department latest by July 30, 2018 without fail. Departments without any pending cases must submit a 'NIL' report.  

Stolen arms recovered in Noklak

Noklak, July 4 (MExN): An MK IV rifle (Arms No. 1261) of Nokhu Village Guard, which was stolen on June 27 was recovered along with the accused on July 3 by Nokhu Village Guard, according to a DIPR report. The accused have been identified as Sulem (34) and Punie (36). The Village Guard handed over the accused to the Noklak Police Station on July 4 and the police registered a case, the report added.  

Taxi fares hiked in Kohima

Kohima, July 4 (MExN): In pursuance to the Regional Transport Authority meeting held on June 21 in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, the following rates of taxis have been revised: Taxi fares from Kohima to Dimapur and vice-versa hiked from Rs. 220/- to Rs. 250/- per passenger, local taxi fares in Kohima town area hiked from Rs. 80/- to Rs. 100/- for hiring charges, and all village bound Regional Taxis fare increased to Rs. 10/- per passenger from the existing rates. Informing this in a press release, All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) HQ president, Vibasetuo Solo stated that the revised rates will come into force with immediate effect.  

NSCN (IM) mourns

Hebron, July 4 (MExN): The Ministry of Kilo Affairs, NSCN (IM) has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of Moamanen, Leacy of the Ao Region on July 2 after a prolonged illness. He joined the National Service in 1994 and served the nation in all capacities and dimensions until his last breath, stated a condolence message issued through the Ministry of Information & Publicity. “His contribution and sacrifice for the cause of the nation shall always be cherished and respected by all the national workers. His demise has caused a huge loss to the nation as he was a man of dignity and principle,” it added. The Ministry of Kilo Affairs conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends. It also prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.  

ANSTA conference in November

Kohima, July 4 (MExN): The three-day conference of All Nagaland State Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) will be held in the first week of November 2018 to be hosted by the central team. With participation of 30 to 50 delegates from each district, it will have different sessions for business, sports, entertainment, election of new office bearers besides conference, informed a press release from ANSTA president, Ponchulo Wanth and secretary general, Visato Koso. Details of the program shall be worked out by the hosts shortly, it added. In view of the conference, ANSTA decided in the executive meeting on May 24, 2018 and re-affirmed it on June 21, 2018 emergency meeting to collect Rs. 400 per head as conference fee from all the bonafide members of the association, it was informed. Therefore, the federating units and sub-units officials have been directed to collect it and submit to the central office along with the list of names of teachers at the earliest time possible.
