NACR condemns
Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): Nagaland Alliance for Child Rights (NACR), a network of NGOs working for women and Child Rights has strongly condemned “the act of the domestic helpers who used the helpless girl for their selfish gains in Zunheboto.” In a condemnation note, NACR stated, “It is unbelievable that human being can stoop so low to carry out such acts when they are paid to provide care and assistance to that very person.” It is unimaginable, it stated, “to think of a society where even the disabled are not spared by those hungering for wealth and lust.” NACR has demanded from the authorities concerned to give exemplary punishment to the accused befitting their crimes.

DPRO Mon condoles
Mon, March 3 (MExN): The District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) of Mon and his staff have expressed deep grief at the untimely demise of Ronshong Konyak, Information Assistant, DPRO office, Mon on March 5 at Mon town. In a condolence message, the DPRO stated that late Rongshong was a sincere and dedicated government servant who was loved and admired by his colleagues for his good personality. He is survived by wife, two sons and three daughters. The DPRO and his staff have extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty God grant comfort and solace to the family, and peace to the departed soul.
Chiechama indoor stadium inauguration postponed
Chiechama, March 5 (MExN): The proposed inauguration programme of newly constructed indoor stadium at Chiechama Village on March 6 by the chief minister Neiphiu Rio has been postponed indefinitely due to the announcing of the Lok Sabha election. Therefore, all the members concerned of Chiechama Village have been requested to bear the inconvenience. This was informed in a press release issued by Chiechama Village Council Chairman Mhalezolie Metha and Press Secretary Medo-u Dzeyie.
Woman found loitering in Phek
Phek, March 5 (DIPR): A woman showing “symptoms of mental disorder” was found loitering in Satheri near Phek town. She has identified herself as Nyukam, daughter of Nokle belonging to Chuyu and speaking Burmese Konyak dialect. Her age appears to be in twenties, with dark complexion and a long black hair. Presently, she is under the custody of Women Cell, DEF Phek. Relatives have been asked to contact the district administration, Phek.

Kohima, March 5 (MExN): The monthly Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board meeting scheduled to be held on March 8 has been postponed to March 11 at 11:00 AM in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Zunheboto.
