DC & DEO Kohima informs on postal ballot

Kohima, February 7 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has informed all the Grade IV staffs detailed for general election duty to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2018 to apply for Postal Ballot from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Kohima, Revenue Section (2nd floor) on or before February 8 with a photocopy of Duty Detailment Order and EPIC/ADHAAR/Service Identity Card.  

DC Dimapur convenes meeting

Dimapur, February 7 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, has convened a meeting of all political parties and all intending candidates of all 5 ACs of Dimapur along with all ROs & MCMC on February 9 at 1:00 pm in the conference Hall of the office of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in connection with election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2018. Therefore, all have been informed to attend the meeting positively.  

General observer for election at Tuensang

Tuensang, February 7 (DIPR): General Observer for Tuensang District, Amar Singh Baghel and Dr. G. Kivan Kumar has arrived at Tuensang. All the candidates or parties are allowed for interview between 10 AM to 11 AM at DC office Tuensang starting from February 8. Longleng heads of offices informed

Longleng, February 7 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam has informed all Heads of Offices under the district to report/submit the attached official vehicle of the officials to the DC & DEO, Longleng office immediately. Heads of the department/officer will be individually responsible for any consequences on failure to comply with the order.  

MCMC members attend training

Dimapur, February 7 (DIPR): Training to members of State and District Media Certification and Monitoring Cell (MCMC) of States of Nagaland and Tripura was held on February 7, through video conferencing by Election Commission of India, Government of India Media Division. In Dimapur, the MCMC Team was part of training through video conferencing which was held at NIC conference hall DC office Dimapur. Various topics including certification of advertisement of political nature, duties of State and district MCMC, pre certification etc were highlighted to the MCMC members. The trainers from Delhi also clarified the queries raised by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur & DEO Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS) who is also the chairman of Dimapur district MCMC Team.  

Peren DC notifies

Peren, February 7 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Peren, Smita Sarangi, IAS has informed that the General Observer, Raj Kumar Beniwal, IAS for the forthcoming General Election for 6th Tening and 7th Peren Assembly Constituency has arrived in the district headquarters. The General Observer will be available for public meeting from February 8 onwards between 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in all working days at GA Rest House Jalukie. Training for polling personnel underway

Wokha, February 7 (DIPR): First phase of training for the polling personnel for the forthcoming 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election started on February 6 at GHSS, Wokha. Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Wokha, Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS, while briefing the polling personnel urged them to take the training seriously for the smooth conduct of the election. To ensure free, fair and peaceful election, 50 polling stations have been identified for webcasting, besides installing video camera in other polling stations, he informed. Series of trainings will be conducted in the coming days to ensure that polling personnel get familiarized with their assigned responsibilities, the DC added.  

Pre-recruitment training at Mon

Mon, February 7 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Mon, K. Thavaseelan, IAS informed all concerned that there will be pre-recruit training at Mon district for the Army Recruitment Rally. As per the information received from Headquarter 7 Sector Assam Rifles, 35 Assam Rifles located at Mon, 4 Kumaon Regiment located at Tizit and 40 Assam Rifles located at Tuensang whose companies are deployed at Chenloisho, Wangti, Chaklansho, Jakphang and Tobu of Mon District will undertake pre recruit training to prepare the local youth for the final test. This pre recruit training is for the Army Recruitment Rally which will be held from April 9 to 15 at Tuensang for the candidates hailing from Nagaland into Indian Army.  

Sector Officers trained in Kiphire

Kiphire, February 7 (DIPR): Training for Sector Officers of Kiphire district was conducted at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall here on February 5. The DC & DEO, Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS, in the meeting urged the participants to work diligently for smooth conduct of election in their respective areas of control. He also directed them to be in station and supervise the election process. District Level Master Trainers (DLMT), to make the election process fair and smooth, imparted training on multiple responsibilities of Sector Officers including Pre-Poll, Poll-Day, with Voters, handling of EVM Sets, Co-ordination with Polling Parties, BLOs, Electors, Village Elders and Political Parties. In the final session Sector Officers were given hands on training on Control Unit, Ballot Unit, VVPAT, Web Casting and Videography.
