WRPF urges for fair judicial inquiry Wokha, March 9 (MExN): For a “speedy, free and fair justice” in the January 31 Dimapur firing incident, Wozhuro Range Public Forum (WRPF) has appealed to the Nagaland State government to institute a Judicial Inquiry Commission “which may preferably include an eminent personality from an NGO.” In a representation to the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, the Forum stated “it is only through a fair judicial inquiry, justice can be delivered and nail whoever is responsible for the lapses committed or take action as per the findings of the judicial commission.” Meanwhile, WRPF felt it is “premature” to insist for suspension of any official unless such an impartial inquiry report is settled which will also be made available in public domain. “It is prayed…that the government of the day will uphold the principle of Justice and Equality in its strongest terms in matter of dispensing good governance,” the representation added.
