WRPF urges for fair judicial inquiry Wokha, March 9 (MExN): For a “speedy, free and fair justice” in the January 31 Dimapur firing incident, Wozhuro Range Public Forum (WRPF) has appealed to the Nagaland State government to institute a Judicial Inquiry Commission “which may preferably include an eminent personality from an NGO.” In a representation to the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, the Forum stated “it is only through a fair judicial inquiry, justice can be delivered and nail whoever is responsible for the lapses committed or take action as per the findings of the judicial commission.” Meanwhile, WRPF felt it is “premature” to insist for suspension of any official unless such an impartial inquiry report is settled which will also be made available in public domain. “It is prayed…that the government of the day will uphold the principle of Justice and Equality in its strongest terms in matter of dispensing good governance,” the representation added.   Transport Commissioner Office shifted Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The office of the Transport Commissioner has been shifted to Solidarity Park, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Area, informed a department official statement today. The duration of the training will be nine (9) months and the last date of submission of application is March 28 while the date of interview is fixed on March 30, DIC Peren S Imliwabang informed in a press note. The minimum qualification is class VIII and the minimum age should not be less than 18 years of age and all interested person can apply through a written application addressed to the General Manager, DIC Peren, it added.   Liangsi to head NPF legal cell Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The President of Naga People’s Front, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu has appointed Liangsi Niumai as the Convener of the party Legal Cell Central. The appointment in the interest of the party is with immediate effect, informed an NPF press note.   KCSU forms search committee Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students' Union (KCSU) on its official meeting on February 28 and elected a search committee to elect the new executives for the tenure 2017 - 2019. A KCSU press release informed that the committee members are as follows, Wekhrope Marhu Convernor; Veshekhoyi Chizo Member Secy; Sekhotso Rhakho Member; and Hukhoto D. Vadeo as ex-officio. A special assembly was conducted by class 9B, where Manwara read the word of God, Ronsulo read the news, and Anwara led the prayer, informed a press release. Vivek, Kajaol and Nethan delivered short speeches. Fr. P.S. Varghese also highlighted the importance of the day.
