CBCC conducts conference for men Phek, April 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church Council’s Men Conference was held from April 21-23 at CBCC Mission Centre, T. Chikri, Pfütsero, under the theme “Righteous Living”. The speakers for the conference were: Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Rev. Khrutsoyi Luruo and Rev. Tseibu Rutsa. Neichute Doulo was the resource person on “Livelihood”. About 2000 persons attended the conference. Vekhoneyi Venuh and Khriehuzo Lohe shared on Clean Elections. Clean Election Pledge Card were distributed and a signature campaign was carried out during the conference to commit towards free and fair election, a press release informed. Free sterilization camp held at Tsürangkong Mokokchung, April 23 (MExN): A free sterilization camp was conducted at Tsürangkong Primary Health Centre (PHC), Mokokchung on April 20. The entire team was led by Dr Temsuyanger DPO (UIP & RCH). The sterilization team consisted of Dr Ademla Gynaecologist from IMDH, Mokokchung who was assisted by Dr Ayangla ZLO and OT team from IMDH. The team conducted 18 Lap ST and 5 CuT INSERT IGNOREions. The DPO in a press release has thanked the Medical Superintendent IMDH for allowing the team and also the School of nursing for granting the school bus. The DPO also thanked Dr Moa, Medical officer Tsürangkong, and his staffs for their contributions during the camp. 1 held for possession of banned drugs Peren, April 23 (MExN): Peren Police on Thursday arrested one person for possession of the banned drugs – Spasmo Proxyvon and Nitrosun. Acting on a tip-off, Peren Police under Athibung Police Station conducted a surprise MVCP at Athibung Town and recovered 6400 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 700 tablets of Nitrosun from the possession of one Langkhongam Hangsing (40 years). The accused was booked under relevant section under the Drugs & Cosmetics (DC) Act and further investigation is underway.
