DC asks BLOs to carry out e-roll revision diligently Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): In view of the ongoing revision of Electoral Roll in the district, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has once again directed all the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to carry out the revision exercise diligently as per the prescribed guidelines and direction issued by the Election Commission of India and the DC’s office. Meanwhile, the DC, Kesonyu Yhome (IAS) directed the Village Council Chairmen, GBs in rural areas and the ward authority/GBs in urban areas to extend all possible help/assistance to BLOs in revision exercise dutifully. DIPR to organize training on PA system Kohima, July 18 (DIPR): Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) is organizing two-day training on ‘Public Address System’ for technical personnel on July 19 and 20 at DIPR conference hall, Kohima. Joint Director, IPR, Er. Tokishe Sema and Deputy Director, IPR, Er. Kevizayieno will speak on the topics ‘Basics of Connection of PA System’ and ‘Basics of Batteries and Cabling’ respectively on the first day of the training. KMC informs on daily/weekly bazaar Kohima, July 18 (MExN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose has issued a notice that some individuals/parties are running daily/weekly bazaar within Kohima Municipal jurisdiction without obtaining prior permission from the KMC office. Therefore, all individuals/ party involved in such practice have been directed to obtain permit from Kohima Municipal Council on or before July 21, 2017. “Failure to do so, the defaulters will be penalized without further notice,” the KMC Administrator warned. Training on prospects of aquaculture underway Dimapur, July 18 (DIPR): Three-day skill development training on the prospects of Aquaculture and Fisheries for grassroots level got underway on July 18 at the Laboratory cum Awareness Center, Brooder Fish Farm, Dimapur. Assistant Director, Yhunsenlo Kent, CEO, FFDA, Dr. Vimezo Kire, Fishery Inspectors Khriezhato Nakhro and Shamyung Ongh will be the resource persons. They will cover various topics, including composite fish farming, pond construction, pond management, water quality parameters, species combination and stocking ratio, fish nutrition, control and treatment of fish diseases, economics of fish culture in 1 ha pond, integrated fish farming system. The trainees will also be taught on NFDB assistance, subsidies for fishers/ farmers/ entrepreneurs and exercise on preparation of NFDB project proposals and bankable projects. WCYO sales day today Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Youth Organization (WCYO) is organizing a sales day at Wednesday weekly bazaar at Supermarket, Dimapur on July 19. According to a press release from WCYO Media Cell, there will be vegetable stalls selling “pure organic” vegetables from Pfutsero and food stalls where tea, coffee and galho (with beef intestines) will be available.
