Tobacco cessation clinic launched at Eden Medical Centre Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): Tobacco Cessation Centre was launched at Eden Medical Centre on August 4. During the function, Dr. C Tetseo, District Nodal Officer, National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) gave a PowerPoint presentation. He made an appeal to the doctors both in government and private sector to play their role to bring down tobacco prevalence rate in the State. He also appreciated the doctors at Eden Medical Centre, which is the only specialised cancer hospital, for accepting the challenge and also appealed to the other hospitals in the city to come forward. Dr. Tetseo also informed that tobacco cessation counselling and treatment facilities are available at District Hospital, CIHSR besides Eden Medical Centre and people with tobacco problem can seek help in any of the centres.
