Wokha DPDB meeting held Wokha, January 11 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on January 11 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman DPDB and DC, Wokha, Robin Lotha. Work distribution for Republic Day celebration was prepared during the meeting where the Chairman requested all departments involved to take their assigned task seriously for the successful conduct of the celebration. Implementing Committee for four (4) Assembly Constituencies under LADP and Common Pool was also finalised. The following are the chairmen and members, 37th AC- SDO (C) HQ, DHO (Horti) and Assistant Er. CAWD, 38th AC-ADC (HQ), E.E R & B Wokha and DFO (Fishery) 39th AC-SDO (C) Sanis, DPO Land Resource Development and SDO R&B Sanis, 40th AC-ADC Bhandari, E.E. R&B Bhandari and BDO Bhandari. The committee will oversee the works that are being implemented under LADP and Common Pool for 2015-16. SDEO Bhandari gave a power point presentation on the activities of the department.   TAPWO office bearers Kohima, January 11 (MExN): The Tizu Area Public Welfare Organization (TAPWO) has announced its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-18. The new team is led by Vechineyi Khesoh as president. Vice president- Nuvehu Tetseo, General secretary – Shekhohu Chizo, Assistant general secretary- Kekhrieneisa Venuh, Finance secretary- Shekhota Chizo, Treasurer- Venehu Rhakho, Social & cultural secretary- Lhuprave Khesoh, Publicity & information secretary- Velapra Vero, Women affairs secretary- Kuvenelu Vero and Assistant women affairs secretary- Shetalu Medeo.   1st round IPPI on January 17 Mokokchung, January 11 (DIPR): District Programme Officer, RCH & UIP, Mokokchung has informed that the 1st Round of Intensive Pulse Polio immunization (IPPI) for children between 0 to 5 years will be on January 17. In this connection all parents and adults have been asked to ensure that all children between the given years to be administered polio drops at the nearest IPPI Booths. SWA 25th anniversary celebration Kohima, January 11 (MExN): The 25th anniversary celebration of Secheku Wrestling Association (SWA) will take place on January 13 at Mesulumi village. Parliamentary secretary for higher & technical education Deo Nukhu will grace the occasion as the chief guest while Vetetso Lasuh, vice president NPCC will be the guest of honour. SWA technical secretary Tewetso Tsiihah will administer oath to the wrestlers. Healthy Life Style Camp at IMDH Mokokchung, January 11 (MExN): The District Health Society Mokokchung will be organizing a Healthy Life Style Camp in IMDH on January 15 from 10:00 AM onwards. The camp will focused on promoting healthy life style (Healthy Diet, physical activity, avoiding tobacco and alcohol use and screening for Non- Communicable Diseases like high blood pressure, Diabetes, Heart Diseases etc. Special health talks and counseling will be delivered by trained IEC personnel of the Department. Blood pressure measurements, Body mass intex, blood sugar testing etc will be conducted free of cost on this day. All the adults above the age of 30 years can avail this opportunity. Special Doctors and Physiotherapist will be available for consultation. KPC to observe 15th Foundation Day Kohima, January 11 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) will be observing its 15th Foundation Day on January 20 in the Club’s new office premises. The KPC, founded in 2001 by several likeminded journalists based in Kohima, functions with the objective to promote both organizational and professional respect as well as regeneration of the press fraternity of the state capital, keeping in mind the welfare of the professionals registered under it.  In connection with the 15th anniversary of the Club, the executive team has convened a general body meeting on January 16 at the new KPC office. All the members are requested to attend the meeting. Final publication of E-Roll Mokokchung, January 11 (DIPR): Addl. Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Mokokchung, Bendanglila has informed that the list of amendments to the draft Electoral Roll for all the Assembly constituencies of Mokokchung district has been prepared with reference to 01-01-2016 as qualifying date and in accordance with the registration of Electors Rule, 1960. A copy of the said Roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and is also available for inspection in the office of the ADC & ERO Mokokchung. LSU general conference from today Mokokchung, January 11 (MExN): The Langpangkong Students Conference (LSU) 31st general conference-cum-sports meet will be held at Tuli from January 12 to 15. Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India has consented to grace inaugural function as chief guest on January 13 at 11:30 AM. LSU President Taliyanger in a press release informed that on each day of the event, various dignitaries of the State Government shall be attending the programme.
