Coordination Meeting held at Zunheboto Zunheboto, January 12 (DIPR): A coordination meeting in view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration was held on January 12 at DC Conference Hall, Zunheboto. The meeting was chaired by SDO (Civil) HQ, Shanavas IAS and deliberated on the work distribution allotted to the departments for the upcoming Republic Day. The chairman informed that work distribution will be dispatched to all departments shortly and asked all to cooperate for the smooth celebration of the said event. The meeting was attended by Heads of Offices, Commandant, 5th Assam Rifles, SP Zunheboto, Dy. Commandant 8th NAP, Asst. Commandant 111 BSF Satakha, GBs, Principals and Headmasters of Government and private institutions. DC Kohima inform GBs Kohima, January 12 (DIPR): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed all the concerned GBs under Kohima Sadar Administrative circle (KMC Areas/Kohima/ Chedema/Chedema Model Village) to submit the Annual House Tax for the year 2015-2016 to SDO (Sadar) Kohima, Kethosituo Sekhose on or before February 25. It also informed that the House Tax to be collected by the concerned GBs and submitted for the whole village/ Ward through the Village Council Chairman/ Ward Chairman. It further informed that failure to submit the House Tax within the stipulated time will entail forfeiture of the House Tax Commission and Red Blankets to the erring GBs.   DC Tuensang informs on Village Council Members Tuensang, January 12 (MExN): All recognized villages under Tuensang district are directed to select/elect new Village Council Members (VCMs) for reconstitution of the Village Councils within 15 days from the date of issue of this notification in accordance with the prevailing customary practices and usages. Alem Jongshi, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang in the general interest of the people stated that in view of the selection/election of VCMs in all recognized villages under Tuensang district, the ADCs, SDOs(C) and EACs under Tuensang district are directed to monitor the selection/election process in their respective administrative jurisdiction and submit the VCM lists on or before January 30, 2016 for onward submission to the government. The directive has been issued in pursuance to the Commissioner, Nagaland and in exercise of power conferred by Rule 3 of the Nagaland Village Council and Tribal Council Rules, 1979.
