ANCSF calls meeting Dimapur, February 9 (MExN): The All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) Executive, Advisory Board Member Legal Advisor a join meeting will be held on February 17 at 11:00 am at Red Cross Society Complex, Kohima. Therefore, all the executive advisory board members and legal Advisors are requested to attend the said meeting without fail.  

ANCSU meeting on Feb 12 Kohima, February 9 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has informed that a meeting will be held with the ‘fact finding committee of technical education’ on February 12 at 11:00 am at the ANCSU office. Therefore, the executive and tribunals of NACSU are requested to attend the meeting without fail.   Appeal on nonpayment of pension Kohima, February 9 (MExN): In connection with the non-payment of National Old Age Pension, Invalid/Blind and Disable alike pensions for the fiscal year 2015, Vezohü Tünyi, Chairman of Kikrüma village, Phek District in a press release stated that the yearly pension payment to the most deserving beneficiaries has been held up till date although the Central Ministry (GoI) has been released the saif fund by the middle part of last year -2015, which is solely meant for the weaker section of people in the society. Therefore, pressing on the need of the situation, the Chairman has appealed the concerned authority/department to release whatever amount due to them at the earliest.   Checking on sale of expired and other illegal goods Noklak, February 9 (DIPR): Surprise checking on sale of expired and other illegal goods was conducted in and around Noklak town area on February 8 by District Administration and police. Goods worth more than one lakh were seized and destroyed in the presence of magistrate, police and NGO's. The seized and destroyed goods consisted of 17 bottles of IMFL liquor, medicinal drugs and other household goods.   CRSU office bearers elected Wokha, February 9 (MExN): The Chuktiong Range Students’ Union (CRSU) held a joint meeting with its affiliated Units, Village Councils, Church youth leaders and senior leaders on February 6 at Chukitong Area Mission School and unanimously selected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-2018. The ream will be led by president: Mhonrumo Ezung; vice president: N. Athunglo Odyou; general secretary: Yanpvuthung Kikon; finance secretary: T. Johny Ngullie; information secretary: Sulanthung C. Kikon; assembly speaker: Libenthung Ngullie; deputy speaker: Woremo Ngullie; assembly secretary: Lijanthung Kikon.   DC Kohima informs on Village Council Kohima, February 9 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor, IAS  has stated in a notification that in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 3 of the Nagaland Village and Tribal Council Rules, 1979 and in accordance with the Nagaland Village and Tribal Councils Act, 1978. The Deputy Commissioner has declared all Government recognized Villages in Kohima District to select members of the Village Councils on or before February 29 in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations. This has been notified in regard to the general interest of the people. The Notification further stated that in the event of any Village having constituted the Village Council recently and yet to be approved by the Government and if any Village desire to continue with the same old team, the list of Village Council should again be submitted afresh and the term is for 5 years as per the Rules and Act.   Para Legal Volunteers training in Phek Phek, February 9 (DIPR): Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, G.H. Ramlia has informed that the Orientation-cum-Para Legal Volunteers training programme for Phek District, that is DLSA members/Panel lawyers/Para Legal Volunteers/Stakeholders of JJ System will be held on February 11 at 10 a.m. in the DPDB Conference Hall, Phek. Therefore all the above mentioned personnel are requested to attend the same.   State level National Deworming Day Kohima, February 9 (MExN): Department of Health & Family Welfare will hold the state level launching of National Deworming Day on February 10, 9:30 am at TM Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima. The progamme will be launched by Dr. Sukhato A. Sema, Principal Director-cum-Mission Director, NHM, Health & Family Welfare. Keynote address will be given by Dr. N. Mhabemo Kithan, Director (H), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare. The function will be chaired by Avino Tase, Principal, TM Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima, while vote of thanks will be proposed by Dr. Bendangla Longkumer, State Programme Officer (RCH).   CMO Kohima informs Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima, Dr. Avino Metha has informed that National Deworming Day will be observed on February 10 at TM Government High School with an objective to de-worm all pre-school and school-age children (enrolled and non-enrolled) between the age of 1-19 years through the platform of government aided schools, private schools and Anganwadi centers in order to improve their overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life. Mop-up Day will be observed on February 15 to deworm children who could not be given Albendazole on National Deworming Day. All parents, school authority, community leaders, ward chairmen, youth leaders and woman leaders have been requested to mobilize and avail Albendazole.
