AIFFSO Nagaland unit informs
Kohima, February 11 (MExN): Nagaland State unit of All India Freedom Fighters & Successors Organization (AIFFSO) held its executive meeting on February 10 in its office at PR Hill, Kohima. The meeting resolved to direct all district unit presidents of AIFFSO to collect the pension formats duly filled up by the district office bearers and submit immediately to the AIFFSO State unit office through respective Deputy Commissioners for further submission to the All Freedom Fighters & Successors Organization, New Delhi. This was informed in a press release issued by AIFFSO Nagaland unit information secretary, Y. Taiwang Konyak.
Ao Senden, AKM calls emergency meeting
Mokokchung, February 11 (MExN): Despite repeated appeals to RMSA for the anomalies created in the selection of Ao Language teacher, the concerned department had so far not given a concrete and positive reply. Therefore, to start with the agitation beginning from February 16, Ao Senden, President, Imolemba Jamir and AKM, President, L Jemti Longchar in a press release informed that an emergency meeting. Ao Senden Officials, Ao Students’ Conference Office bearers, Aor Tzükong Trok Mungdang Office bearers and Aor Tzükong Trok Kaketshir Mungdang Office bearers are informed to attend the meeting without fail in order to discuss the steps to be taken.
Conference on ‘mainstreaming the NER’
Kohima, February 11 (DIPR): A national conference on “Mainstreaming the North East Region” will be held in Kohima on February 12 and 13 at the Hotel de Oriental Grand. The inaugural session will be held at 9:00 AM which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Nagaland, T.R Zeliang while Minister of State, Food Processing Industries, Govt of India, Sadhavi Niranjan Jyoti will be the chief guest on the occasion who will also deliver the keynote address. Welcome address will be delivered by Prof. Manoj Pant, JRU and AEDR.
IMFL destroyed at Zunheboto
Zunheboto, February 11 (DIPR): Excise department, Zunheboto on February 11 destroyed Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) consisting of 3880 bottles of whisky, ram and cane beer at ZTC dumping site. The articles were worth 14.16 lakhs and was destroyed in the presence of District Administration, Police Personnel, Sumi Totimi Hoho (STH) and Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto (SBCZ). Earlier Sr. Pastor, SBCZ, Rev. Yevuto Zhimo pronounced a prayer before destroying the seized items. Superintendent of Excise, Zunheboto has expressed gratitude to all the officials for peaceful destruction.
New BG railway line survey to start from February 15
Dimapur, February 11 (MExN): In connection to survey works, identification of affected landowners and preparation of estimates for land acquisition for construction of new BG railway line from 18.30 km to 48.00 km, all affected village councils and landowners concerned are informed that two survey teams shall begin the detail survey from Moava and Sirhima villages simultaneously from February 15, 2019, 9:00 am onwards. DC Dimapur Kesonyu Yhome, IAS in a notice has directed all the head GBs, chairman, council members and landowners of affected villages to be present on the spot for physical verification of the land and its assets.
