Shift DCs office to new Hq: Medziphema GBs
Medziphema, February 19 (MExN): The GB’s Union of Medziphema Sub-Division under Dimapur district, has appreciated the Government for its decision to set up the District Headquarters at Chumukedima which is centrally located for the villages of the district. However, it appears that shifting is delaying unnecessarily, stated a press release issued by the Union President Izheho Jimo and General Secretary Rokovitso Kuotsu.
The GBs of Medziphema Sub-Division has urged upon the State Government to shift the DCs office to the new Headquarter at an early date. The GBs Union Medziphema opined that the State Government must “fearlessly proceed ahead with its earlier decision for the convenience of the people and not to be carried away or mislead by sheer emotions of certain section who are threatening to agitate.”
Since all the infrastructural development has been completed and ready to function, the Union strongly urged upon the Government to expedite shifting in the interest of the people of the District in particular and Nagas in general.
BJP Wokha protest rally on Feb 20
Wokha, February 19 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wokha District will be holding a protest rally on February 20 at 10:30 am, in regard to “anti India slogan” raised by some students in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Delhi. BJP Wokha District General Secretary (Admn) N. Nchumbemo Jami in a press release has directed all the frontals, mandals presidents and office bearers and all district senior party workers to assemble at District President residence place without failed. The District Party Workers have also invited all right thinking India citizens to attend the rally.

Medical camp held at Aghunato
Aghunato, February 19 (DIPR): Free medical camp was conducted at Aghunato town on February 15. The programme was organised by 5 Assam Rifle wherein hundreds of sick people from Aghunato town and surrounding villages received medical checkup. Medicines were also provided free of cost. Ad-hoc town committee Chairman, Hoito Achumi on behalf of Aghunato public expressed gratitude towards commandant, major, doctor and staffs 5 Assam rifle for rendering best service towards Aghunato public.
