Social Welfare Department Peren district informs Peren, February 20 (MExN): The Department of Social Welfare, Peren district has informed all National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) beneficiaries that payments for Old Age Pension, Widow, Disabled, and Blind (not state invalid) and scholarship for disabled student for the year 2014-15 will commence for the district. The payment schedules are as follows: Aithibung Block March 2 and 3; Jalukie Block March 7 to 9; Peren Block March 10 to 12; Nsong Block April 5 and 6; Tening Block April 7 to 9; I/c DWO office Peren April 18 to 20.  The VCCs and beneficiaries have been informed to contact their respective CDPOs and AWWs for payment venues. Beneficiaries are requested to produce life certificate obtained from the VCC or respective church Pastors. Those who have not submitted their Aadhar No/EPIC No, House No., Bank Account No. and contact No. are also requested to submit the same during payment.  

23rd NSTSA general meeting Kohima, February 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Sericulture Technical Staff Association (NSTSA) has convened its 23rd general meeting on February 26, 10:00 am at the Sericulture Conference Hall, Signal Angami Dimapur. A press note issued by A.Atenjemba Imchen, General Secretary has requested all NSTSA members to attend the meeting without fail.   ANSTA general meeting Kohima, February 20 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association has convened a general meeting on February 24 at CANSSEA Halll Kohima at 10:00 Am to discuss pressing issues of the Association. All the executives of central ANSTA, District and Sub-Divisional units office bearers and Advisors of the Association are requested to attend the meeting positively.   Forest Colony Union informs Kohima, February 20 (MExN): The Forest Colony Union as per resolution adopted vide meeting minutes No-3 dated  January 11 and reaffirmed by the executive body meeting held on February 18 ban sale, consumption, export, import, possession of any cosmetic drugs, narcotic drugs, brown sugar opium, liquor etc and immoral activities within the colony. A press note issued by Ghokuto Kinimi, Secretary has informed that any person individually or collectively found indulging in such activities will attract legal action as per union resolution/law.
