Meeting of Select Committee today Kohima, March 7 (DIPR): The meeting of the Select Committee on the Nagaland Prohibition of Gambling and Promotion and Regulation of Online Games of Skill Bill, 2015 has been fixed on March 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat for adoption of the Committee's Report. All the concerned Committee Members have been requested to attend the meeting. ANTA Dimapur unit informs Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): All Nagaland Taxi Association Dimapur unit has directed to all the ANTA Dimapur unit registered members to avail yearly registration on or before April 30 without fail, failing which the ANTA Dimapur unit will take action against the defaulter.

B Khel sub-committee meeting Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The ‘B’ Khel sub-committee set up by the Khel authority has verify various documents in favour of the land and area allotted to various individuals and the committee is about to submit their final report to the Khel authority. Therefore, a meeting is hereby convened on March 19 at 11:00 Am at TL Angami Park. The Sub Committee Convenor Theja Angami in a press release has requested all concerned members to attend the said meeting positively. It also direct all those who have submitted Xerox copy of Patta in favour of their allotted land to bring forth their original Patta before the khel chairman TL Angami for authenticity immediately. Further, failing to produce their valid documents in favour of their land in the given stipulate time shall stand cancelled. CAPF expresses dismay Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The Chessore Area Public Forum (CAPF) has expressed dismay over the non fulfillment of demand for construction of bridge at Langa Kepeak, where the state Home Minister Y. Patton has laid the foundation stone on March 30, 2015. CAPF President, A Akhum in a press release stated that the Forum with good faith has urged the concerned authority to initiate the construction at the earliest before the monsoon seasons falls. Craft Bazar at Mokokchung Mokokchung, March 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. Dimapur is organizing Craft Bazar at Mokokchung town from March 15 to 24, sponsored by office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi. Interested Societies, NGOs SHGs, Artisans etc may apply  to the Project Cell, NHHDC Ltd., Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, along with the Xerox Copy Artisan card issued by the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Govt. of India  on or before 12th March 2016  during the office hour. The stall shall be provided free of cost with lump sum daily allowances to each stall shall be provided. This was informed in a press release issued by Er.S. Distribution of LLINS at Mangkolemba Mangkolemba, March 7 (DIPR): According to an official report by Dr. Akum Jamir, SMO, CHC, Mangkolemba, the free distribution of Long Lasting Insecticide Nets (LLINS) under NVBDCP programme by the Department Health & Family Welfare was officially launched on March 5 for all the villages and towns under Mangkolemba Sub Division. Besides the administration officials, members of Mangkolemba Town Baptist Church and Adhoc Town Committee also attended the distribution programme. KBBD revival camp held Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Dimapur (KBBD) on Sunday concluded the three days long revival crusade which was held from March 4 to 6 on the theme ‘Spiritual Awakening.’ The speakers for the crusade were Rev. Kilang Jamir, Youth Harvest Ministry, and Rev. T. Moina Konyak, Atlarge Missionary. The Counselors for this crusade included members from Konyak Baptist Church Dimapur and Konyak Baptist Church Mon (KBCM).  The members who attended this crusade had a time of spiritual renewal by re-committing their faith and to live a life more worthy. KCCI condemns Kohima, March 7 (MExN): Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) strongly condemns the incident at Khedi Market Kohima on March 4, where a woman's (wife of a trader) handbag containing a cash of Rs 2 lakh was snatched at gunpoint by perpetrators who were in police uniform. KCCI demands the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprits at the earliest for the safety and security of the traders and the citizens. “Such anti social acts in broad daylight should be condemned by every right thinking citizen and that justice be brought to the victim at the earliest,” added KCCI in a press release. LLNS distribution at Old Ministers' Hill Kohima, March 7 (MExN): Long Lasting Insecticide Nets (LLNS) distribution was officially launched at Old Ministers' Hill, Kohima Ward -14 on March 4 by the District Vector Borne Officer, Kohima (NVBDCP). The program was chaired by the Chairman who thanked the department for selecting the colony in the scheme and appealed to the beneficiaries/residents on proper usage of LLINS. Dr. Bendangsenla Ao DVBO (NVBDCP) emphasized on the Do's and Don'ts and highlighted the government program in controlling mosquito borne diseases. The program was attended by DVBO officials, GBs, NGOs, ASHAs and colony leaders, informed Nothükedu Sophie, General Secretary, Old Ministers Hill Panchayat Kohima Naga Kuotsu Union General Conference Kohima, March 7 (MExN): The Naga Kuotsu Union 14 General Conference 2016 will be held at Zhadima Village, Kohima district on April 9. It is therefore requested that Kuo-u descendants from any village within and also outside Nagaland are requested not to fix any programme coinciding with the said Conference for maximum participation.
