Chief Veterinary Officers
directed to collect vaccines
Kohima, May 11 (MExN): All the Chief Veterinary Officers in charge of District, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officers in charge of Sub-Division to immediately collect vaccines during office hours on Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Haemorragic Septicaemia (HS), Black Quarter (BQ), Enterotoxaemia (ETV), New Castle Disease/ R D (F1 & R2B), Fowl Pox, Canine Rabies and Classical Swine Fever (SF) for mass vaccination before the onset of monsoon in their respective areas for control and containment of contagious diseases in the State. A press note issued by Dr. R. Thungchamo Ezung, Director, Veterinary & AH, Kohima has requested the public to get their livestock, poultry and dogs vaccinated on time to prevent outbreak of diseases from the nearest veterinary institute.
KSOK one day seminar on May 14
Kohima, May 11 (MExN): The Kohima Sumi Officers’ Kuqhakulu (KSOK) will be holding a one day seminar for Sumi officers in Kohima, Sumi Class-III employees, Sumi educated unemployed youth and retired Sumi officers on May 14 at Capital Convention Centre from 9:00 AM onwards. Informing this in a press release,KSOK president, K.Shiwoto Wotsa informed that the K.T.Sukhalu IAS (Retd), Vigilance Commissioner, Nagaland, G.Akheto Sema IPS, Addl.Director General of Police (Admn), Nagaland, I.Himato IFS, Commissioner & Secretary, Works & Housing Department, Nagaland, A.Pitoho Chophy IA &AS, Accountant General (Audit), Nagaland and Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor, YouthNet, Nagaland will be the speakers at the Seminar. The release further asked all the concerned to attend the programme positively.
SBCZ youths visit sub jail
Zunheboto, May 11 (DIPR): Youth members of Alahuto Colony under Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto (SBCZ) on May 10 visited sub-jail, Zunheboto and had a fellowship with inmates. A team of Youth led by Assistant Pastor, Elica Achumi delivered short sermon and interrogated with the inmates. During the program, the Youth led by prayer secretaries presented special song. A New Testament Bible was presented to all inmates and as token of love and respect, refreshment was provided to officials and the inmates. The program was chaired by Asst. Teacher, Aboli Chishi.
Unika Angling competition
Dimapur, May 11 (MExN): Unika Angling Club, Hoito village is organising Unika angling competition at Unika Angling Club on May 13 starting from 7 am to 5 pm. The club management has informed that the competition will be in the category of biggest catch. Winner will be awarded Rs. 10,000 while first and second runners up will receive Rs. 7000 and Rs. 5000 respectively.
