NAWO condemns Kohima, May 18 (MExN): The Northern Angami Women Organisation (NAWO) has condemned the attempted rape of a woman in Meriema on May 12. A press release from NAWO President, Neisebei-ü Kuotsu has appealed to the law enforcing authority to serve befitting punishment to the accused identified as Neitsü Angami. The organisation also prayed for timely recovery of the victim from the traumatic incident. NAWO also reminded the men to respect women instead of taking advantage of them. AGEI holds General Presbytery Committee Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The General Presbytery Committee of the Assemblies of God of East India (AGEI) was held on May 17 and 18 at Bethesda Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur. Leaders from all the states attended the meet and prayed for the forthcoming Assemblies of God India Centennial celebration scheduled to be held in Chennai on June 8-10, informed a press release received here.   Ban on tobacco sale on May 31 Kohima, May 18 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & DLCC Chairman, Rovilatuo Mor, IAS has notified that there will be a total ban on sale of tobacco products in Kohima on World No Tobacco Day, May 31. The DC has requested all the shopkeepers selling tobacco products to abide by the order cited above. Defaulters will be fined as per the law, it was informed.   Tobacco sellers in Dmp notified Kohima, May 18 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur and District Tobacco Control Cell Chairman, Kesonyu Yhome has informed all the tobacco sellers to immediately adhere to the notification of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare GRSE(E) dated September 24 under Labeling & Packing Amendment Rules 2014 sub rule (2) of Rule 1, which came into effect from April 1, 2016. With this notification, the specified health warning coverage area for all tobacco products has been increased to 85% of the principal display area of the package (60% for pictorial health warning and 25% for textual health warning), a press release issued by the DC stated. The law enforcement agency will soon carry out regular checking and all the products which are not compliant with the specified pictorial health warning will be seized according to the provision of the law, the release stated.
