CUK annual general meeting held Kohima, May 28 (MExN): The Chang Union Kohima 43rd annual general meeting was held at State Academy Hall, Kohima on May 28. The new office bearers of led by Tiameren as president for the year 2016-19 were also elected during the meeting. EDP training in Tuensang Tuensang, May 28 (MExN): The District Industries Centre (DIC), NKVIB and KVIC Tuensang will be jointly conducting EDP training in collaboration with multi disciplinary training centre, Dimapur for all the beneficiaries of PMEGP for the years 2015-2016 under Tuensang district starting from June 3 at CKS Hall, Tuensang at 10:00 am. Therefore, all the PMEGP beneficiaries from various sponsoring agency under Tuensang district are asked to contact their respective office for further information without fail. Tuensang, District Industries Centre, general manger Lipokwati Ao in a press release informs that, “The sponsoring agency will not be responsible in future for those who fail to attend compulsory EDP training.” Landmark Colony Council informs Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): Landmark Colony Council has made a call for all individuals and political parties to maintain peace and tranquility within its jurisdiction. Any person or party member indulging in unlawful activities and disturbing the atmosphere of the locality and would be dealt sternly for which the council shall be compelled to pursue regardless of the consequences. Peace and healing crusade held Tuensang, May 28 (MExN): Peace and healing crusade was held at Tuensang Town with Rev. Allan Chan, Director, SEED Ministries Ltd Singapore as the main speaker from May 20 to 22. The programme was organized by the Nagaland Missions Movement/NBCC and hosted by Tuensang Town Baptist Pastors’ Union. More than 2,500 people from different walks of life attended the programme, a press release informed. Sovima Village council informs Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): The Sovima Village council informs every resident who have plot in Sovima Village to clean their own compound and surrounding in order to keep the village clean within seven days from this notification. The SVC has informed in a press release that if any person is found not complying with this notification, the Sovima Youth Organisation will take further action as deemed fit. SAPYF meeting Saptiqa, May 28 (MExN): The Saptiqa Area Progressive Youth Forum (SAPYF) has convened consultative meeting with all the departmental staff members under Saptiqa administrative circle on May 30, 11:00 am at Government High School Saptiqa Town. The meeting will mainly deliberate on the problems and hardships faced by the departments/staffs while discharging their duties and also for uplift of Saptiqa Town. All the government employees posted at Saptiqa Town have been asked to mandatorily attend the meeting.   ENWO tour from June 1 Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO) will tour all the district headquarters of Eastern Nagaland, conduct meetings with all the six federating units, and organize workshop for both men and women separately. The tour, sponsored by Department of Underdeveloped Areas, will start with Longleng on June 1. The tour aims to create awareness among communities the importance of complementary partnership between men and women, respecting, recognizing, and embracing the fact that working together is the need of the hour to bring about transformation change, said a press release from ENWO.
