North East Art Camp and Museum concludes
Dimapur, June 2 (MExN): The North East Art Camp and Museum at NEZCC, Dimapur organised by Rengma Cultural and Films Society Limited (RCFSL) has concluded successfully. During the camp, ten artists from North East region participated in the discussion and slide presentation of their artworks. Some of the artist included Sisir Thapa from Sikkim who has done artist residence in China for two years. Mrinmoy Debbarma from Tripura has done artist residence in France for one year and also national awardee. Keshab Narzary (Assam) has done a lot of commission works in his state as well as in Bhutan and Amritam Das (West Bengal) has exhibited and sold paintings in London. According to RCFSL President, Robert James, “art plays an important role in the society. It has a visual language which expresses. It developed brain of the child’s creativity. Therefore, they should not be discouraged.” He also believes that this camp has provided an opportunity to the artists to engage with one another in an informal way of interaction thus enriching their own experience and growth.
DC Phek warns on firing zone
Phek, June 2 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner Phek, Muruho Chotso has informed that the 46th AR Phek is conducting small arms day firing practice at firing range Bn HQ Phek and will continue till June 30 from 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs. Therefore, all the Phek Town and nearby villages dwellers are hereby warned not to go near the firing zone during the aforesaid period.
