Meeting on Smart Cities Mission
Kohima, June 20 (DIPR): A state level consultative meeting on Smart Cities Mission will be held on June 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Conference Hall of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima. The Minister for Social Security & Welfare, Kiyanilie Peseyie will be gracing the occasion as the chief speaker. All the Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, Administrative Heads of Departments (AHODs) and Heads of Departments (HODs) are requested to attend the meeting positively as per the circular by the Secretary, Municipal Affairs Department.
Agriculture dept informs on change of official email ID
Khima, June 20 (DIPR): The Department of Agriculture, Nagaland has informed that the Department has migrated its official email ID from agrilan@rediffmail.com to their new email ID agrilan-ngl@gov.in. This change has been made as per the email policy of the Government of India 2014. All official correspondences to the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland that is routed through email should be done through the new email ID. This was issued in a circular by Director Agriculture, D. Suokhrie.
BJP Nagaland to observe Yoga Day
Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit will be observing International Yoga Day on June 21 at Brahma Kumaris centre, near PWD Junction, Kohima. It will start from 6:00 AM onwards.
Business Advisory Committee meeting
Kohima, June 20 (DIPR): Commissioner & Secretary, NLA, N. Benjamin Newmai has informed that the Speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Chotisuh Sazo who is also the Chairman of Business Advisory Committee (BAC), has convened the BAC meeting on July 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly Committee Room to finalise the Provisional Programme for the ensuing Twelfth Session of the Twelfth Assembly which will commence from July 12. Therefore, all the BAC Members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.
KSON informs
Peren, June 20 (MExN): All KSON Units and well wishers are informed that the office bearers of the KSON have fixed the date for celebration of KSON Golden Jubilee cum General Conference-2016 from December 14 to 17 at Ahthibung Town, Peren. All the KSON Units are informant to expedite their assigned fund drive for celebration of the said jubilee and conference.
NCWA seminar on women empowerment
Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Catholic Women Association (NCWA) will be organizing a seminar on women empowerment cum leadership training from June 25 to 27 at Mt. Tabor Retreat House above Bypass Police Check Gate in Kohima. A press note issued by Vilanuo Angela Yhome, President, NCWA has requested all the former office bearers of NCWA, Tribes, region and Parish Executive members to attend the program. All the Parish Priest in the Diocese of Kohima are informed to send at least two women representatives for the program.
NELB detects fake certificate
Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Electrical Contractors' Union (NECU) has commended the Nagaland Electrical Licensing Board (NELB) members for detecting the fake certificate produced by a candidate appeared during the recently conducted electrical supervisor's and electrical workman's permit examination. The Union felt that such act of crime should be condemned by one and all and the culprit should be penalised as per the law. The Union has also requested the board members to thoroughly verify the relevant documents particularly Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) issued by the District Administrations before the issue of competency certificate to qualified candidate. This was informed in a press note issued by Kevichülie Chadi, President and H.S Rotokha, General Secretary.
Papernagar Post office renamed Tzudikong
Tuli, June 20 (DIPR): The Director of Postal Services Nagaland, R.M. Patel has conveyed the approval to the competent authority that the ‘Papernagar’ Post office is being renamed as ‘Tzudikong’ in account with Kohima Head Post Office, Nagaland Division with immediate effect.
Registration of packers, manufacturers & importers
Kohima, June 20 (MExN): Under Rule 27 of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, all the packers, manufacturers and importers of packaged commodities, intend to sale, distribute or deliver shall make an application to the Director/Controller of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection for registration. All the packers, manufacturers & importers under Kohima district have been asked to register or obtain packers, manufacturers and importers license on or before 5th July 2016. (If registered produce license). Failure to register within the stipulated time shall be penalized under Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and Packaged Commodities Rules 2011, according to a release issued by assistant controller, legal metrology & consumer protection, Nagaland, Kohima.
