NPF Luyong Unit coordination meeting held Tuli, June 29 (MExN): The NPF Luyong Unit held a coordination meeting on June 25 under the 21 Tuli A/C at the residence of Repamangyang, Unit Treasurer. The meeting was attended by all the primary and active members and former congress party workers and BJP Party workers. Luyong Unit president Lepshi Jamir thanked I Olem Lkr President of 21 Tuli AC (NPF) for rendering his service and also encouraged the party workers to remain loyal to the party principles. The unit party thanked Amenba Yaden, Parliamentary Secretary for Industries & Commerce for supporting the party in all spheres. The party workers resolved to work hard for the betterment of the party in order to regain the NPF Party to power in the coming General Election 2018.  

NCC Mkg observes Drug Day Mokokchung, June 29 (MExN): On the ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ a rally was organized on June 26 by 25 NL (I) Coy National Cadet Crops (NCC) Mokokchung to strengthen the resolve to fight against the menace of drugs. Cadets displayed banner on the subject at the various traffic points in the town. Approximately 50 NCC personnel participated in the rally. The main event was organized at NCC Office. CMO, Mokokchung speaking to the Cadets, said that such programmes go a long way in guiding the youth of the country to join mainstream activities and contribute constructively towards nation building. During the conduct of the event the gathering was shown a short movie, followed by real life experience shared by ex-drug users. At the end a pledge was taken by all to continue fight against drugs.   WSKH general session postponed Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has informed that the 17th general session of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho and 2nd Sumi Officers’ Kukami Kuposhukulu Hoho which was supposed to be held on July 2 at Agri Expo Site, Dimapur has been postponed till further notice owing to the demise of Isak Chishi Swu. WSKH has also informed all the GBs under Western Sumi to gather at DimapurAirport on June 30 by 10:30 a.m. wearing traditional attire to receive the mortal remains to Isak Chishi Swu.   ‘Adopt a Home’ prog at Zbto   Zunheboto, June 29 (MExN): ‘Adopt a Home’ programme was held at DC Conference Hall Zunheboto on June 29 under the chairmanship of Nungsangmenla Imchen, ADC HQ. The programme began with prayer by Khehoto Yeptho, Asst pastor SBCZ (Aizuto). The resource person J. Khetohili Yeputhomi, LCPO, DEPU spoke on ‘Child Right’ and Hovishe CDPO spoke on ‘Adopt Home.’ GBs of all sectors in Zunheboto town, members of Sumi Hoho, STH, ZCCI, and representatives from children’s home Sukhalu and Satakha attended the programme.   AIFFSO consultative met cum seminar Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Ist consultative meet cum seminar of the All India Freedom Fighters & Successors Organization (AIFFSO) will take place on July 15 at Hotel Japfu Kohima at 12:00 noon. All the north east advisors, state office bearers and all the district office bearers have been requested to attend the same positively along with ID card. All the members have also been requested to bring two passport photo.   ANGPTA Dimapur district unit formed Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): The Primary Teachers of Dimapur district (Graduates, Under Graduates, SSA etc.) have resolved to form district unit of All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (ANGPTA). The resolution was made during the general meeting of the teachers on June 25. The house also unanimously elected new office bearers. The team will be lead by Hetio Sema as the President along with other Executive Members. This was informed in a press release issued by Imchanuchet jamir, Press & Information Secretary, ANGPTA.   ATMA Mon conduct training Mon, June 29 (MExN): ATMA Mon conducted training on good management practices in organic farming and a frontline demonstration on integrated pest management in mixed farming and biological control of pests and diseases with V Zao, BTM, Nemchaba ATM, Tennyei Phom, ATM, ATMA, Mon as resource persons at Chui Village, Mon Block on June 29. The resource persons urged the farmers to practice biological methods for control of pest and diseases and also to follow proper post harvest management.   CVYO conducts plantation drive Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Chiechama Village Youth Organization (CVYO) has conducted a plantation drive on June 25 last. Around 500 tree saplings were planted in and around the village and along National Highway 61. The plantation drive was also attended by Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, MLA and chairman NSMDC, members of DPDB village adoption committee 11th Northern Angami II Constituency and forest department Chiephobozou division officials.   Department of V&AH notifies Kohima, June 29 (DIPR): The Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry in a notification stated that in continuation to the Department Notification of event number dated 23rd June 2016, the Governor of Nagaland has appointed the following officers for conduct of the Fourth Nagaland State Veterinary Council Election. Registrar, NSVC as Returning Officer (RO) and Deputy Registrar & CVOs as  Assistant Returning Officer (ARO).   KROS College freshers’ day Kohima, June 29 (MExN): Minister for social welfare & security and parliamentary affairs Kiyanilie Peseyie will grace the 6th freshers’ day of KROS College, Lerie Kohima on July 2 at 10:00 AM at KEVI Hall. Principal address will be made by Imsuinla Imti while welcome address will be delivered by Royim M. Yimchunger, president Students’ Council KROS College. Mabalamtam Konyak will speak on behalf of fresher while vote of thanks will be proposed by Daniel Konyak, general secretary Students’ Council KROS College.
