AHODs & HODs meeting deferred Kohima, June 30 (DIPR): The Home department, in a circular, has informed that the meeting of AHoDs & HoDs which was scheduled on July 1 is deferred to July 4 at 11.00 a.m. Venue will be same as mentioned earlier.   Contraband ganja  seized Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): The Excise Narcotic Cell Duty party manning the enter-state check gate at Khuzama intercepted one Ashok Leyland truck bearing Regd No. PB10BS-2713 and seized 1620 kgs of contraband ganja neatly packed in 114 polythene packets and concealed inside secret chamber of the vehicle. In this connection, the driver of the vehicle, Kuldeep Singh, 36 years was arrested and forwarded to judicial custody booked under Sec 20 (b) of NDPS Act’ 85. A press release informed that the duty party was led by Tiameren AIE, Yekuto H/c Khuming, Pangjung, Sutsung, Mangyang and Shikaho all constable of excise.   CPO special meeting deferred Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) scheduled to have a special meeting with the Chakhesang officers posted under Phek District on July 2 at Deputy Commissioner, Phek conference hall has been deferred till further notice due to some unavoidable circumstances. The CPO in a press release issued by its General Secretary Mutsivoyi Kotso, express its deepest regret for the inconvenience being meted out. The release appeal to all concerned members to bear with the CPO and in the meantime sought unflinching cooperation towards the organization.   DGC fresher’s day postponed Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): The Dimapur Government College fresher’s day which was scheduled on July 2 has been postponed due to “certain unprecedented situations and circumstances.” The programme will be held on a suitable day after the brief summer break and the specific date will be announced later. The normal cases will be conducted on July 2. This was informed in a press release issued by DGC principal Ngangshikokba Ao.  

Green Club Zbto seminar Zunheboto, June 30 (DIPR): Green Club, Zunheboto is organising a one day seminar on 'Climatic Change and Global Warming' on July 26 at VDB Hall, Zunheboto. The seminar is sponsored by Department of Science and Technology. DFOZunheboto, Tokaho Kinimi and Research Scholar(Nuclear Physics), Mughavi Tuccu are the resource persons for the seminar.   Prog on ‘substance abuse’ Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): Lamhai Village Health Committee conducted an awareness camp on June 29, under Nagaland Health Project (NHP) on the topic ‘substance abuse’. The speakers Kiengau Nala and Keditei Spoke on the ill effects of drugs and alcohol and urge them to be mindful of their Health and Body and refrain from consuming such things. It was held at Lamhai council Hall and a total of 44 youth attended the programme.   SEN seminar Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): The Save Environment Network (SEN) is organising a seminar on environment awareness under the theme ‘role of civil society in environment protection’ for various civil societies in Dimapur town July 2 at Unity Hall, Naga Council Dimapur.  Parliamentary Secretary for Labour & Employment, Skill Development, Border Affairs Mmhonlumo Kikon will be the chief guest while Angel Sonare, Dean of Science, Patkai Christian College will be the resource person. SEN has informed all the participants that the programme has been rescheduled at 2:00 pm due to unavoidable circumstances.   Soul Harvest for Christ Ministry convention Kohima, June 30 (MExN): The 4th general convention of Soul Harvest For Christ Ministry will be held from July 8 to 10 at Soul Harvest Church of the Living God, Daklane, Kohima. The resource persons of the convention includes; Rev. Dr. D.L. Sanchu, executive secretary ACRCC, Rev. Keyito Sema, Sr. pastor SABCK, Rev. Ketou Theiinuo, president Cross Wonder Ministries Nagaland, Rev. Kevisede Kire, president SHFCM and Petekuole, vice principal Kohima Bible College. Graduation & ordination service will take place on July 9 at 10:00 AM with Thapi Semy, OSD cabinet cell, Government of Nagaland as the guest of honour. The convention will also feature a healing service.   TGSU condemns Kohima, June 30 (MExN): Tesophenyu Group Students' Union (TGSU) has strongly condemned the insensible and irresponsible act of manhandling Johny G Rengma, Vice President National BJP ST Morcha on June 19 at his residence at Kandinu. The Union in a press release has demanded that due punishment should be accorded to the miscreants by the law enforcing agency for crimes and wrongdoings committed upon a high profile political figure.   Ungma Longjakrep Semchir condemns Ungma, June 30 (MExN): The Ungma Longjakrep Semchir (A native of Dr SC Jamir) vehemently condemned the ultimatum served by CPI (Maoist) to Dr SC Jamir, Governor of Odisha asking him to quit as Governor. The Longjakrep Semchir said that he threat upon him is a direct challenge to the entire Indian Nation. On behalf of Longjakrep Semchir Ungma, I. Imtidongba Jamir Tatar & T Onentiba Jamir Tatar stated in a press release that the Longjakrep Semchir Ungma request the authority to ensure the safety of our member and also appeal the Maoist to withdraw the threat served.   Zunheboto DPDB meeting postponed Zunheboto, June 30 (DIPR): The monthly Zunheboto DPDB Meeting has been scheduled on July 4, 12:00 noon at DC’s Conference Hall. All members are asked to take note of it and attend the meeting.   ETC alumni Dimapur unit Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): There will be a get-together of Eastern Theological College Alumni Association, Dimapur unit on July 9, 10:00 am at Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church.
